Range hood - help me choose

The hood will be for a 36" 6 burner bluestar RNB range.

Mount is under cabinet. The current hood exhausts up about two feet and then out the back wall and has 8" round ducting.

What do you recommend to replace it?

Local dealers carry Broan, vent-a-hood, zephyr, and kobe.

The following three are close in price. I am trying to stay below or close to $1000.

Broan 64000 with remote 900cfm blower.

Kobe 191 ~ 720cfm internal blower.

Vent-a-hood with 600cfm internal blower.

My educated guesstimate.

Broan is the quitest.

VAH most effective.

Kobe is 2nd on both counts and probably the best compromise.

We just installed a Zephyr island hood last week & love it. It is 42" over a 36" gas cooktop. Workmanship is great, the stainless is beautiful. The pull is great (720 cfms) & quiet in mid to low range, but hear air pulling in upper speeds. (This replaces a 2 speed JennAir Downdraft. There is no comparison.) We purchased on-line for $1600 to $1700, but am thinking under cabinet should be less.

I don't have experience with the other hoods.
