What type of range was delivered that does not work? I'm confused. Was it a Viking?

I am also curious if there are any happy Viking induction range owners?

I need a 30 inch range. I can live with the looks of the Kenmore induction range. I don't like the GE profile because the knobs are on the back. The electrolux looks too modern for my kithcen.

I love the look of the Viking but of course there is the cost. I am willing to pay a premium for a well made product but I'm not convinced it is well made based on all the reviews I've read about other Viking appliances.

The induction site has a list of ranges. $6k list for the Viking.

Thanks for the info. I am hoping someone can give me first hand knowledge of its performance.

Viking does not make a slide-in induction range. However, they do make a 30" freestanding induction range as well as an induction cooktop.

They have the VISC530-4B. Thank you, Weedmeister, for confirming. Apparently, Caplan's (the Toronto retailer) told them this was a slide in...they're going to keep it now.

Oh yes, freestanding, that is what I meant. I keep confusing the two.

Clax66, so is that a dual fuel and not an induction? If it is an induction I would love to hear what they think of it once they use it.
Thanks

Viking does make a 30" freestanding induction range. I think it is fairly new so I doubt you'll find anyone with experience with it. However, I think there are a few owners of the induction cooktop out there. I think it's the same as far as the induction functionality, though the range is a bit newer.

and the GE doesn't have knobs.

Frigidaire makes a 30" induction hybrid range with knobs
