I suspect the major components are made by Fagor. Hard to find reviews on those either.

I have a Windcrest. Works fine. No frills. None needed. When I was shopping the Wolf had the controls on the side and I sometimes wish I'd gotten that because I use my cooktop as a work surface and dumping ground in my smallish kitchen and sometimes I turn it on with junk. It's not really a big deal though--it just beeps a bit, and most people don't end up dumping their groceries on their cooktop anyway.

The surface isn't the type of glass that scratches easily, it's slightly textured to not look too splotchy, and it's pretty quiet. I like that it doesn't beep angrily when a pan is missing. My old induction cooktop was very vocal.

I would also take a look at the new Thermador 36" 5-burner induction cooktop. It has the largest burner on the market (13" diamater) and it also has the ability to crank out up to 4,600 watts, which is far and away the most powerful on the market.

I find the layout to be excellent too.
