More Finds!

While I was in town today, I found some great placemats for Fall . . . and OA's Johnny Appleseed challenge table. I'll show you all those when the table is done, BUT, I also found this great (metal) Autumn sign at HL. Their signs and wall art are 50% off this week, so I got it for only $6. It's almost 14" across and has the shape and edges of a bottlecap, which I thought was kind of unique.

At Marshalls, I fould these interesting bowls. To my eye, the inside looks like a pinecone . . . or an alligator's hide ;^D

I bought six of them at $2.99 each to see if they'd work with my pinecone plates. They're a mix of green and brown. I think that the plates and bowls as well as my leaf salad plates work well together. The colors and finish look like they were made by the same company, although they weren't. My only hesitation is that the bowls are a little big and would slightly obscure the pinecone design if I put them on the plate instead of next to it. But, when I set the table with everything, I place the leaf salad plate on the pinecone dinner plate. If I needed a bowl, too, I'd place it to the upper left of the dinner plate. My question to you all is, should I keep the bowls or continue looking?

Here's the plate with one of the bowls:

And here's a pic I took last Autumn with the leaf salad plates. Please excuse the wrinkled placemat. I usually iron them!

Soooo, what do you think? Should I keep the bowls or taken them back?
