Midweek Tables

It's a little slow here, an in between time..

Tonight I used these green plates I got last week at WMSonoma..8.00 ea but 70 off...

The mats and napkins I got there too. The little pedestal plate is from TJMaxx,

and the ruffled edge dishes are from Karen..:)

Pink glasses from Lenox,

and the hydrangea have changed to a pink and green, so that was my inspiration piece, LOL..

.
Tomato tart with feta, red onion and oregano in a puff pastry cause I have so many cherry tomatoes from my garden,

crashed potatoes, boiled first tossed in oil and spices, put on baking sheet, smash then bake, top with your fave, I used sour cream with chives..

.oven baked pork chop, and a side of baked beans for dh...

Last night, it was a dinner salad with chicken....

And a little look at the waning days of summer at the ocean here..

Everything looks so yummy. I sure would like some of the cherry tomatoes, sigh. And really like the sound of the "crashed" potatoes. I may be inspired to try those!
Your settings are as lovely as always.

Now how am I supposed to concentrate on your pretty dishes when there's all that yummy food to look at and drool over???? LOL It all looks really pretty, I'm loving how your tart looks so colorful--I'm a big feta cheese fan too. Those little ruffled plates from Karen are so cute. How great that your hydrangas are the perfect colors to go with your plates! Thanks for sharing. Luvs

Oh Kathleen... I want to spend a weekend... Please!!...I would love to sit at one of your beautiful table settings, and taste some of that scrumptious food!! I'd probably leave weighing 20lbs more...but I'd be happy as a clam...LOL
Again, I've got Hydrangea envy...so beautiful.
Also, when I made oven baked pork chops, they came out tough..do you have a special technique you can share?

The table decor is really nice: the flowers are in perfect harmony with plates, napkins and placemats.

Thank you for this potato recipe: I will test this weekend and I'll think of you while eating them! And I'll add the baked beans because my son loves it!

As for the salad, I HATE salads except yours... I'd eat this salad with the most pleasure!

Many thanks for the great picture: blue sky, white sand... everything I miss so much - here, once again, it's cold and it's raining - like the famous song "It's raining again".

Ask me about the weather and I'd reply: "November 1st!"

I just finished a wonderful dinner of baked ham, mashed potatoes, and green beans at my daughters's but everything you posted looks sooooo good that I just want a couple of bites of EVERYTHING!!!!!
And the black and white setting is drawing me in. I already fell in love with the beautiful pink paisley the first time I saw it.
How sweet of Karen to give you the cute ruffled dishes.
The tart is awesome! I would love to learn how to make a tart. I just know my crust would crumble.
I can just see Alfred and me walking in that sand admiring the sea and sun. Do you have many seashells there?

Betty, in the frozen section of the grocery find Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry. It is wonderful stuff. You can make a tart, sweet or savory with it!

We have shells, but not the pretty ones like Fla.
And I think that is so cute you said you can see you and Alfred walking on the beach! :)

And thank you ladies..just trying to give us something to look at till we get rolling on Fall!
We are supposed to get Hannah visiting tomorrow...we shall see if she has calmed down a bit..

Kathleen, here's hoping that all you get is a little rain from Hannah. Too bad that all these storms have to interr upt the beautiful warm days of summer.

I sure enjoy seeing your pictures, thanks for taking the trouble to post them for us. Sure wish my dinners came out looking as pretty as yours do. Afraid I'm not much of a cook anymore--there was a time when I cooked allot and enjoyed doing it, but now with so many on restricted diets, it has taken the fun out of it for me I guess. Besides, it's better if I just look at your's--less calories that way! LOL
