Thanks, Kathleen. I always love seeing holiday ideas, and the BHG site is a great source! Tho one link leads to another and its hard to know when to stop. LOL

TFS, Kathleen.I agree, BHG always has lots of ideas for the holidays. Guess it's about time to start pulling out the Fall goodies and getting them up isn't it? I was in Michael's this week, and the Fall items are all discounted now. Our weather is a bit cooler this week too, so that helps me "get in the mood" for Fall too.

While at Michael's I was looking for "special" gifts for the neighbor kids. (I have a few that I always give something extra at Halloween) and saw some really cute little kits for wooden place card holders. Had the little clip on the back and the design already on the wood piece and included paint pens to color them. Sure cheaper than I could buy the wood and pattern to make them! If I were going to have a Halloween dinner, I sure would have bought them! I love going there when I have time to just browse, gets my creative juices flowing! LOL

Thanks Kathleen!...there went my morning! I always sign up for BHG 100 days of Holiday tips, but for some reason I never get them :^(. I signed up again....nothing ventured nothing gained!

Jay, I get it emailed to me, but it took awhile!
    BHG does have good ideas...
I still haven't pulled the Fall stuff out.. I am waiting till next week.
Still summer here! Fall lasts long enough, and you know what comes after that! YUCK!

Another vote for BHG here - they do have some really good and do-able ideas. But I got a fall wreath on clearance at Pier-1 last christmas so I am set for this year. :)

Luvs, things do seem cheaper to buy at these sales than making them, dont they? Sometimes I wonder why I bother spending all that time making stuff when I could buy them cheaper... oh well.

Lynne, we usually put up our Christmas stuff the first weekend in December...or thereabouts.
YDS is coming for Thanksgiving. He called Wednesday to see if we could put up some Christmas stuff that weekend so he could help. He says " Oh just some of it would be okay, the sled, the Manger scene, Grampy's wood stuff..."
Well...that's 80% of what I put out, I may as well just do the whole thing :^) Kids, you gotta' love 'em!! (and he is 30 years old!!!!!!!!)

Jay, that is wonderful you have a son (any age, LOL) who wants to help with the Xmas decor. I think it will such fun for you to decorate with him helping. I can't even get my DH to help. I recently told him I wasn't sure how I was going to manage decorating this year due to physical problems, and he commented "so, don't do it". Gee, I was so tempted to brain him with something!!
I long for the days I could do the Xmas decorating right after Thanksgiving and be done in a few days. Last year it took me 3 WEEKS. I'm not looking forward to that part again at all. But I want to decorate badly, so will just have to deal with it. And obviously by myself. Drat.

Karen, our DH's must be "two peas in a pod", mine doesn't help with the decorating either--but I'm not sure what he would think if I decided not to do it--probably that I'm terminally ill or something drastic like that! LOL

Jaybird, that is so great that he loves Christmas at home so much that he wants to not miss the decorations. Bet those special traditions are really important to him especially now that he is away from home. And just think, you will have it all done early and be able to enjoy doing other things while we are all struggling to get ours done! ;o)

Nana9, I think you've posted a couple of times and I want to be sure to give you a big welcome to the forum. Hope you will tell us more about yourself and share some of your pics with us too. We're always happy to have new people joining in the fun here.
