my Autumn slideshow

Feeling "a bit" guilty about only looking and lurking so will share my Autumn decor pics while it's still that season. i'm definitely an amateur compared to so many here but have fun with my "junk" which IMO is what it's all about.

Most of my decorative accessories are from yard sales, thrift stores, and auctions or on sale at Michaels. I change things in my house frequently and have already changed some of these vignettes but haven't taken more pics. Currently having "issues" with my new camera.

Here's my kitchen sideboard...

Kitchen baker's rack...

My great room credenza...

Another dozen pics on my slideshow - hope you find something enjoyable or inspirational and feel free to give me tips on how I can improve. :-)

    LG,

Your kitchen looks great with the pumpkins, chickens and nice color on your candles. The colors are a nice change from most. You'll be lucky to keep that turkey platter posting here.LOL Everyone who doesn't alredy have one will want it including myself. And another chicken, that's cool. I have painted signs for others that have chicken decor in their kitchens that say "Welcome to Our Coop". Seeing your chickens has brought back a few nice memories.

I LOVE your white pumpkin in smiling in the mirror. That's priceless. Your blue plate is nice among the candles. I don't know why I can't access your slide show but for some reason it's not working for me.

Thanks for not lurking and sharing your pictures with all of us here. Punk

My goodness, LG, doesn't look a bit amateur to me! Love the soft colors you used too.
Oh,lurking and looking is fine. But sharing your decor with us is MUCH more fun isn't it? I sure hope so. You shop at the "right" places and have beautiful things! Way to go. You've sure got me wanting to see more!

Gosh! It's gorgeous! I've been to your slideshow and was amazed by the wonderful things I discovered!

Your sideboard is beautiful, why haven't you posted before this? Most of my things are from garage sales too, or after holiday clearance sales, but there is nothing wrong with that, people sell of some of the prettiest things when they are tired of them.

Love the white pumpkin & those tall candle holders too. If alot of those things are from yard sales, you have some good ones by you too!!!

Your vignettes are just lovely. Most of my decorations are garage sale finds or a super special too. Love the white pumpkin and candles. Keep posting, I hope to post for the first time soon too!

Nice, nice, and very nice. I don't usually care for chickens too much, but the soft colors of those is wonderful. I like the white pumpkin also, I have been looking for some and can't find any. I'm about to the point of spray painting some. Again, just lovely.

Oh Wow...loved your slideshow and all your decor.
I don't think you need ANY pointers at all.
Love the jack-o-lantern looking in the mirror.
Your vignettes are lovely, as well as your sideboard and all the other areas you decorated. You've collected some very nice things.
As Karen said...Please come back, and show us more!!

What a great way to come out of "lurkdom" and introduce yourself, Luckygal. Welcome to the forum, sure hope you will continue to join in and share all your pretty finds with us.

Your fall vignettes are so pretty. I couldn't get your slideshow to work either, but will have DH open it on his computer for me later. My laptop can't always open everything. I really love your candlesticks and pedestals. Like how you've grouped like colored items together too. I see you have several roosters too--lots of rooster lover on here as you probably know!

All of those pictures are lovely!! I 'specially like the furry decoration in picture 2 :^) Posie likes to help me too. Thanks for posting the great pictures!

Thank you all for the very nice comments! Because I seldom do elegant tablesettings the way so many of you do I never feel I have much to share. My table decorations usually consist of candles and something decorative in the center of the table! Not something overly picture worthy. I've started collecting more dishes tho so maybe it'll happen.

I do like doing vignettes and find lots of inspiration here from many of you. Being a dedicated yard saler I always have lots of stuff to play with. Sales are almost over here so I'll take more pics as I "play".

Are you kidding? Your decorations are elegant, nothing unworthy about them.
I too love the jack o' smiling in the mirror!

Thank you Kathleen, coming from you that is high praise!

OMG Luckygal, you have wonderful Autumn and Halloween decs and vignettes! I'm so glad that you decided to share them with us. I loved every picture and am drooling over your platters and plates and arrangements. Please come out of lurkdom and join us here more often. I'm really anxious now to see your Christmas (if you celebrate it, that is) decs!

LG, I don't do tablesettings at all. But enjoying seeing photos of them. What I think I most love seeing tho, is various vignettes! In any room, on any size table or whatever. I have always loved little groupings of things.
So please, post if you do some. You really have an eye for putting them together!

I did an Inspiration album for us here called "Misc" so I could stick things like non holiday vignettes and decor in there. Hope you got a chance to browse some of the albums we have. A ton of photos there! LOL

Thanks Lynn, I've only started doing more ornate Christmas vignettes in the last few years since seeing this forum and hope to take more pics this year. There are a few old Christmas pics on one of my albums in the link below. That site mostly shows my YS finds. I need to take and add more pics - taking good pics is a challenge and right now I'm not getting along with my new camera very well! ;-) There's also an album showing some coffee table arrangements I just threw together when I was cleaning my LR sideboard. Hadn't taken pics of some of those things but there wasn't a lot of thot put into them and I need to upgrade a lot of those pics.

Thanks, Bonnie, I'm in Canada so our Thanksgiving is the second Monday in October and I did my fall deco's before that. I'll likely be doing Christmas deco's by mid November before Thanksgiving in the US! Seems I start earlier every year! :-)

Karen, I've always enjoyed arranging things on tables, even when I was a child and long before the internet showed us so many nice vignettes. I constantly save pics of arr. I like and have looked at the albums you've created many times. Thanks for doing that, it's a great inspiration to many, I'm sure.

Luckygal, I really like everything you posted. I, too, am a "red person", so I know all about working with the usual orange-y items.

Thanks for sharing, and please post more. Maybe you need to give your camera a stern talking-to. (-:

Love your black sideboard and bakers rack!

Oh my gosh, LG, I just got thru looking at your photos. WOW. I will be going back a few more times! What really grabbed me, since I collect rabbits, is that fantastic pitcher you have in the table vignette album. I've never seen anything like that. Its wonderful!
You have beautiful things and a talent for displaying them.
And have me wanting to see more from you!

I'm glad you've enjoyed our Forum's Inspiration albums. I was trying to stay occupied on yet another sleepless night last night, so decided to pull up our various albums and see how many pictures we've got. 911. WooHoo. Going for a 1000,Ladies! (and WHERE'S JIM??) I hope to add a lot more this Fall and Christmas with everyone's help.

    hugs, Karen

Thanks hi2all, I'll either get that camera working well or go back to my old one and ask Santa for another! Love dig cameras.

Thanks again Karen, even I am sometimes amazed at how many decor accessories I've accumulated in only a few years. Had very little, only gifts, family things and stuff from our travels before I retired. Then I started yard saling and felt as if I hit the jackpot. I have even more things I haven't taken pics of and am currently rearranging them in my various storage places so they are more easily accessed.

That green pitcher vase with the rabbits is a vintage Beswick which belonged to DH's Grandmother. She was known to like to visit thrift stores as well as had things from England where she was from so I don't really know where it originally came from. I like it for spring decorating especially.

Thanks for sharing so many pics with us Luckygal, you've sure found some pretty things. Going to ys and ts can be very addictive, it's like going treasure hunting and you just never know what you will find. Will look forward to seeing more decorating from you during the holidays. Luvs
