Hi there, Koi. That is some serious Halloween decor. LOL.
Very cool too. Those skeletons on the wall shelves are my favorite part. Thanks for sharing your decorating.

    hugs, Karen

Koidom, wow, you did a great job, it is so cool how many great decorations there is out now-a-days. A few years ago, you could hardly find anything. Holidays with the retailers have really caught on fire!

Whoa, that's great. My favorite part is the shadow box with the spiders. Very cool!

I love it! Excellently done...and I really like those skeletons on the wall shelves too. :-)

As an aside, that's a lovely color on the walls, and perfect for halloween too!

Your Halloween arrangements all look great--another "creepy with class" display! Thanks for sharing with us Koi.

    Hi Koidom,
    How are you doing?
Ok, your decorations are the ones I've been looking for a long time so, put everything in a big box, I PM you my address: I REALLY NEED your decorations for my Halloween party!
In addition, they will perfectly fit with my terracotta wall!

    Hi Purplemoon,

I'm not sure if people can tell whats the Halloween stuff and whats just out year round.
    (hugs right back)

    Judiva,

I mainly shop at goodwill no lack of creepy things to come home with there! The only "Halloween decor" in the first picture is a skull I mounted on a candle holder I had, a sign on the mirror, a rat and three tea candles siting on silver plate little costers I got for 25 cents at goodwill.

    Hello Oldalgbra,
Thanks, well thats sort of a sad story, they where my pets! me and hubby had about four spiders when we got married and I took the advise of a guy who we got some new ones from to spray them dowm every day, I had the big one for seven year :( I think they got a fungus and died so I mounted them in a shadow box, I think I'm going to get some more unmounted bugs off ebay to fill it in and then put labels with their scientific names on them.

    Thanks Jamie MT,
I worked and worked to get that color and it don't show how lovely it is in pictures. I mixed it myself and the guy at the paint store worked and worked to match it. those skeletons on the wall shelves come for Wal-greens they where very cheep I got them on sale for $2 to $4 each I can't remember.

    Luvstocraft,

Thanks!"creepy with class" was just the look I was going for:)

    Prosperity66,

I'm doing so/so been up all week with a sick pet and my husbands gone for a month, but things could be worse :)

If I lived near I would be right over! I could use a party to cheer me up!

What a wonderful way to immortalize your spider pets! And they certainly do make for spooky decor as well.

I hope your sick pet gets better soon, and bummer about your husband. You're welcome to pop in on our party too if you're in the neighborhood, of course! :-)

    Thanks Jamie,

I miss my spiders they where so colorful like fish I feel terriable I cut their life short as most can live into their 30's just like goldfish but I guess that hardly ever happens just like with goldfish.

I sure Hope my pony gets better also she is such a sweet heart and has been part of the familiy for ever she is 25 years old, she has sand in her tummy and it is very painful for her she is feeling better after a long and costly stay at the vets but at this point she is just hanging in there and is not passing the sand like she should :(

    Koidom,
What an interesting life you have. Stuffed pet spiders and a pony with sand in it's tummy as well as your DH being gone for a month! Poor Baby. I hope things get better soon.
But, if there was a spider in my house that big I WOULDN"T BE THERE!!!!!

Koi, love your Halloween decorations. You have incorporated the bought things with the special meaning things (spiders) together very well. I too love the colour on your walls and think the colour ties in with Halloween wonderfully. Hope your pony gets better!

OH HOW CUTE! I really like the shells mixed in with the black!

Koi, sending prayers for your pony. Poor thing, I think there should be a rule that the "old ones" don't ever have to hurt. Your spiders (tarantulas?) sounded like interesting pets to have. I'm a bit scared of them myself but I also feel every creature deserves someone to love it and appreciate its qualities. Heaven knows I had a menagerie when I was growing up, if it came near me, it was fed and loved. LOL. Now its just dogs, cats, 2 parakeets, and 2 fish that are around 18 yrs old!!

I went back and looked at your first photo after you mentioned what was there just for Halloween, so then I could actually see your regular decorations. Judith is trying to train our eyes, a good thing in my case. LOL.

    hugs, Karen

    Hey Betty,
Hopefuly things will turn around soon :) husband is away for back treatment which he has been off work for two years.. all other treatments have not worked and they don't want to do surgery :( (work comp case) I try to keep it intresting around here :)

    Thanks Delight,

I was worried it would look like Halloween all year with that color on the walls and black but I don't think it does to me at least!

I do to Mary! In the summer I have a lot more shells out.

    Thanks for the prayers moon,
Dear pony could use them, she seems to be doing better. so there is hope now.

Some other stuff got moved there here this is what it looks like normaly.

Well I hope pony gets better...I've had that happen to lizards before, but never knew it could happen to ponies. Here's hoping she rallies quickly! Hopefully they'll get your hubby's back fixed up too...

I keep fancy goldfish - and I always feel bad when they die before thier time too (my oldest one now is 5, and I'm hoping she's around for many more years). I think it happens a lot with smaller pets. Unfortunately, it's often bad breeding rather than care that causes it. Even when we give them the best we can, it still isn't enough to trump bad genes sometimes. I don't know if that's true of spiders or not, but with fish and lizards it often is...

The past 4 years, my bearded dragon was a "highlight" of our Halloween party - he sort of fit right into the spooky decor, and I even decorated his tank with dinosaur skulls and such. He passed on last spring (at 14 yrs), so now my leopard gecko is living in his old tank in the living room. Not sure if she'll come out for the party or not - she's not terribly sociable, but the skulls and red night viewing light in her tank add to the ambiance of the decor. ;-)

Your "normal" decor is lovely and fascinating, koidom! :-)

Thats so neat I like both of the lizards you have owned. !4 years is a long time I'm sure you got quite attached as they have loads of charm :)

I really want a collard lizard or at least see one in the wild, they are so pretty! I seen some captive breed ones (babies) and they where simi tame they did not look stressed and where very colorful and healthy!

Sadly I think I killed my spiders with giving them a too wet of a place to live:(

I love fancy goldfish! I have a tattoo of one on my back, and I have koi that are about nine years old now which have got move to a pond.

with me the stress of buying them when they where just shipped seemeed to be hard to get them over, it seemed even if they did live a year I had to treat them over and over and it would get to a point that they could just not stand another treatment. I spent a lot on replacing goldfish from pet stores. it's hard to buy from a tank that don't have any sick or floating fish.

I got my last two fancy's from a Koi importer he had them for about a year and I had to shell out $40 each they have never been sick and have been real healthy for the past three years :) They are not perfect.

I drool over perfect goldfish! but there like $60 to $200 and up plus shipping.

I love your decoration Koidom! Another vote here for the skeltons on the shelves. Your fish reminds me of a fantail I used to have in my pond. Funny how you can get attached to fish, lizards, and spiders, isn't it?

Koi, weren't you with us here last year? Seems I remember emailing with you about that gorgeous horse painting and other things. Hard to believe there would be two Koi gals with that horse. LOL.

Anyway, new or old, glad to have you share your things with us.
    hugs, Karen

Yeah I'm the same one, the girls on here helped me put my living room together at least they toned me down a LOT

Love it and the color on the wall is fabulous. My favorite is the skull on the candle holder and skeletons on the shelfs. Great job!
