Can't comment on those 2, but have used Warming Systems (wire taped to floor, not mats, which is a bit more work but less money) in 5 different rooms in our house. Search for "heated floors" in this forum and you'll see some useful threads answering a similar question.

tikatoo , you've named products and asked if "someone has another product they are happy with" But, this is the wrong approach. Focus on the structural things. Answer johnfrwhipple's questions and many others. If you (or anyone) intalls ANY heating product on a concrete slab, you may be underwhelmed or dissatisfied. Etc. etc.

Thanks for the responses! This bathroom is a plywood floor
over our unheated garage in upstate NY. Probably level - We had the house built 24 years ago. Currently getting estimates from contractors. We are gutting and completely redoing the bath. I'm pretty new to this forum and will take your advice to search the forums better. Hope I don't have to ask you all too many questions as this project goes on. Thanks again!

We used Nu-Heat (mats) in both of our upstairs bathrooms. Pricier than some of the other brands, but our tile guy liked working with their mats (easy to install), and DH was very impressed with their customer svce/tech support when he'd made a bunch of pre-purchase inquiries. Our MB is over an unheated garage. The only issue I have with ours, is that I wish the mat ran all the way to/under the saddle--that sucker gets very cold during the winter months! Wish we had installed it in our ground floor guest bathroom, too. It's that wonderful having it!!!

One tip that from staceyneil (that we so wish we'd thought of prior to our install): install TWO sensors, hook one up to the thermostat/control switch, leave the other "loose." This way, if your sensor fails you can just hook-up the unused one.
