Any great creative ideas?

I liked the new designs Kodak.com has this year that you can customize...

It all depends on what you like. DH and I have been doing picture cards ever since since we've been married. We always try to do something different every year. We've live in five different places and had three kids since we've been married. We usually try to highlight something in the local area. For instance, one year we stood in front of the lighted state capitol. Another year, we stood in front of the neighbors huge cactus that she had decorated for Christmas.

We got a fun one last year from a relative. Everyone wore their BillyBob teeth.

I'm looking for ideas too. I live in the small town that I grew up in and every year I design my own cards with something to do with the town. This year we just celebrated our centennial and I wanted to do something with that as a theme, but can't come up with any ideas. I was thinking of a collage of photos on the front of the card with town landmarks. The creative juices are just not flowing. I guess I could come up with something, but I'm wanting something that will be really good. LOL

I think it would be neat to add something to the front of the card to make it 3D or maybe add jewels of some kind. I wish someone could give me some ideas.

I know I'm no help lovechristmas, but maybe someone will post some good ideas for both of us.

Picture cards are nice and easy to do. They are fun too. We personally like to write a letter with our cards and include the picture with the letter. But it is more work.

However, sounds like you are more high tech than me when it comes to Christmas cards! :-)

Target, Wal Mart, and Hobby Lobby have neat Christmas card kits. Comes with colored cardstock and all sorts of embellishments

Did your little town have a newpaper or flier on the centential or any article of your choice? Or maybe you could make up one, and use it as a background for your card. Or even on velum as an overlay for the front. And use a photo of the town or landmark underneath. My vision is of an old newspaper that has been laying around and turned yellow. But I like old stuff. Hope this gives you some ideas.

I DO MY OWN CARDS... I'M A HUGE SNOWMAN LOVER .SO I ALWAYS COME UP WITH A NEW DESIGN EVERYYEAR. I MAKE MY OWN SNOWMEN EMBELLISHMENTS. AND I USE 3D DOUBLE SIDED TAPE TO ATTACH THEM TO THE CARDS. LUCKILY I CAN DRAW. BUT THEY ARE ALOT OF WORK... BUT WELL WORTH IT...EVERYONE LOVES THEM AND LOOKS FOREWARD TO GETTING THEM. IN FACT 2 YEARS AGO I SENT STORE BOUGHT ...AND GOT COMPAINTS BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT HANDMADE FROM EVRYONE. SO I GUESS I BEST GET CRACKING HUH??? LOL! I WILL POST A PIC IF I EVER FIGURE OUT HOW!!!
