help finding hooks please

I just went to order these hooks for our towels and of course they are backordered until october. I really like the ephram style but would take anything similar (all RH's similar hooks in chrome are backordered).

Has anyone seen anything like these elsewhere? I just did an online search and came up blank.

TIA

Here is a link that might be useful: hooks

I wish I could help budge, but I haven't seen anything like these...at least not the quality. When you mean they're backordered, that means they don't have them in any store? That's a bummer. I've been stewing over what color bathrugs to order, and this is a reminder to get it done but they too sell out. Good luck!

Can you call the stores closest to you and check their stock? Sometimes stores have stock that the online source doesn't.

They're very nice, btw. I had originally purchased some RH hooks (Mason) and they were big and heavy and definitely "something", iykwim.

That's good to know flyleft. I've never been in an actual RH store - we are far, far away (from everything really). So I appreciate hearing that they are good quality.

I think I may just order them and use over the door hooks until they come in.

Yes, mpwdmom, I am going to place my order tonight too. I'm worried everything else I need will be sold out too.

    Wish me luck!

I was just at a Restoration Hardware store today. Their bath products are all on sale through the middle of August. We are thinking of mixing and matching to get the features we want. For example, I like the swivel sconces and oversized pivot mirror in the Bistro line, but I really don't like the faucets, etc that come with it. Has anyone done this sort of mixing? We are doing a very traditional, elegant kind of bathroom with travertine and granite, but I love the clean lines of RH. I am thinking we will get the accessories from them and the actual fixtures from a company where we can always get replacement parts.

momskitchen, buffalotina mixed not only different faucets, but different fixtures etc. from different lines. Several of their lines can be mixed and matched as they all have similar lines. You can find her bathroom in the gallery.

I think most probably buy faucets etc from standard lines but get accessories elsewhere. I loved the RH faucets, but it just seemed too risky to buy from a company that doesn't specialize in bathroom fixtures. I'm sure they are the highest quality, but we don't have a store close by in case anything went wrong.

sounds like you are going to have a beautiful room.

Never fails...my bathrugs are on backorder until 8/13 : (

Did you have any luck with the hooks?

Newport Brass makes the faucets (and I wouldn't be surprised if the accessories too) for RH. While they've changed things up a little bit, there are definite similarities. For example, if you look at the RH bistro faucet, it has the same kind of handles and shape of spout as the Newport Brass 1690 series. If you sort of like a faucet from RH but don't like something about it, check Newport Brass. You also can probably find better prices on NB stuff (though they do have long lead times) - I know that the RH chrome console washstand was $1100 and I got something very similar from NB for $585 (slightly smaller though, better size for me).

I'm mixing things in my bathroom because I can't find everything I want from one line. I'm using Rohl Country C-spout faucets, Newport Brass chrome console legs, RH Vintage glass shelf (because it matches the exposed screw escucheons and chrome spheres on both the towel warmer and the console legs) and RH bistro accessories (I did NOT like the brackets on the bistro shelf). I think it will look fine :)

Thanks for the tip about Newport Brass kgwlisa. Now I'm afraid to look at their line in case I see a faucet I love more than our Grohe (why do they have to write "Grohe" right across the top of the faucet? Ugly!) I am so jealous of your chrome sink legs - I think that is the ultimate in luxe.

sorry to hear about your bathrug susan. I think I've decided to buy the oil rubbed bronze and paint them black. They are going on the back of the door and the door knob is black so I think it will look better anyways. I'm sure when I call the ORB will be back ordered too. Two or three other things were also backordered even though it didn't say so online when I placed my order, only when I called to check on something else I'd ordered.

Still hoping for pictures, Susan - any chance we'll see some soon?
