Thanksgiving Table

I can't believe I actually got some pics of my table before the holiday. I still have some guest unsure if they can make it, I may have to add more settings. Last year I used my Blue Willow, but decided to go back to these more warm and earthy colors. My plates are almost to large for my gold chargers, but I like that touch of gold. The flatware I got at an estate sale, I actually bought 2 sets almost just alike, each with a 6 piece setting for 12 plus all the serving pieces. It is brass and was made in Siam. I gave one set to DS. I bought the little leaf (bread) plates yesterday at Dollar General for fifty cents each. The bowls don't show up as very green, but they are and there is a good bit of green in the table cloth and in the room. I added some of my regular serving pieces, to fill in. We actually like to put the food on the table for TG, so I'll most likely move the turkey at the last minute and leave the hurricanes. I didn't like the way the white prayer candles looked, so I just used tapers with popcorn and of course acorns. I decided to use my TS turkey for the mums and put my rolls in the dough bowl instead. It still needs a little tweaking here and there, which I'm sure I'll find a few seconds for, so any input is welcome. Thanks for looking.

I KNEW I must have good taste!!!!! My table cloths are the same fabric as yours, so I must have done SOMETHING right!!! My table won't look as pretty, but I will be thinking about you! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Gorgeous table, and I love what you did with the Dollar Tree hurricanes.

Just beautiful, Syble. I'm glad you decorated the Turkey basket with mums, it made a wonderful centerpiece. Well, since I can't think out of the box, I sure wouldn't have thought of using popcorn for filler. I learn a lot here, LOL. Thank goodness.
I think your plates and chargers are perfect together! Your guests will be delighted to dine here!

Oh very warm & inviting Thanksgiving table, love all the warm colors & the flatware!!

My fall runner I'm using is very similar to your tablecloth, only mine has green in it, no blue. It has matching placemats but I used them last year, so am staying with the dark ones I had on the table for fall.

I have the runner, the centerpiece & the chargers on, that is as far as I've gotten so far.

I really like your table, great job!

I love plaid tableclothes! Yours is very fall-ish! Nice idea using the popcorn in your William-Somona look-alikes.

Syble, everything looks great. I love the plaid tablecloth and your silverware is awesome. Thanks for mentioning the popcorn, I love it. I just bought alot of the different kinds from the boy scouts so I could add some no problem.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I may not have enough time to get back here much before.

froufrou...looks very "earthy" to me...I love it...and love that the food can be placed on the table. That turkey centerpc. turned out great with the mums! And great idea using popcorn (a Fall crop) for the hurricane pcs. Enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner! TFS pics! Jeanne S.

    The only input I have is.... How B E A U T I F U L !!!

I love, love, love, your flatware. I need some new soooo badly, but no luck finding any so far.

The view out of your window is awesome!

All of the colors in your tablescape are pulled together wonderfully to set a warm, welcoming tone. I LOVE what you did with your turkey basket. (Pssst..Don't let Luvs see the sugar and creamer set!!)

Wish I could come sit at your table IRL. You would have to watch me closely, though! I would want to be borrowing this and that, and... wait a minute... that, too!!

Too late Betty, the ACORN creamer/sugar were the 2nd thing I noticed on her table! LOL The first thing was how nice those mums look in the turkey basket--that made a really pretty centerpiece. Your candles look lovely too--no one would believe you made them yourself and at such an unbelieveable price. And what a nice find on your silverware, it looks really nice and how many people can say they have something made in Siam? Your table looks very warm and inviting, and I know your family/guests are going to love it. Oh, I couldn't help but notice your pretty white birdcage too. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. ;o) Luvs

Very pretty! I love how it all ties together.

This may be a stupid question, but how did you get the tapers to stand up? Did you use a short candle base and cover it with the popcorn?
