Yeah, pictures do help, but without seeing it I can still say that if it were me, I'd actually use is a soft creamy or off white on the walls. The reason is, usually when you see bathrooms with a strong wall color, the counters are in a neutral tone to provide balance. Your space is the opposite, your counters are the color, so you need to keep the walls neutral. Then you can bring in an accent color (or two) to help make it all pop. Something fun like a soft citrus green, a lite sherbet orange or a creamy yellow for your rugs, towels and accessories. Also, some additional benefits to keeping the walls neutral is the room will retain a nice open feel to it and if you tire of the accent color it will be easy to change it out without having to repaint.

I think you are on the right track with a light grey/blue color. Benjamin Moore has great colors. If it is a small bathroom, you wouldn't need more than a gallon. Then you could accesorize with other bright colors...Good luck!
