Our Thanksgiving Table

Here's our Thanksgiving table this year. We're so excited to have our 3 daughters coming home for the holiday: one with her SO, the other with a friend who is too far from home to go home for the Thanksgiving break. Our "baby" will be home from college.....yeah! We'll also have my MIL and maybe my dad (he will decide how he feels in the a.m.)

I love Thanksgiving for the opportunity to give thanks for our many blessings, to be with family and friends, and to feast the day away!

This year we turned the table on the diagonal to make for more room to move around the DR.

Wishing you all a blessed Thanksgiving.

Bonnie, it sure sounds like you are going to have a terrific Thanksgiving with your 3 daughters! How wonderful for you. I hope your Dad is able to join as well. I could hardly take my eyes off that lovely tablecloth to see your dishes, LOL. But the plates are very pretty too.

    Happy Thanksgiving and hugs,
    Karen

Bonnie, I know you will have a wonderful day with your family. I think it is so great when we can use china that has been passed down to us and holds so many memories of past family meals. I can just imagine your table loaded with platters and bowls full of yummy food. I noticed your pretty plates on the wall too. Luvs

Very nice, I love how the napkins pick up the colors in the dinnerware. I'm sure you are looking forward to a great family day!! Enjoy!!!

Bonnie, I remember your beautiful dining rooom from last year. What a great space. Like Luvs, I love how you used your plates to frame your mirror( I'm too scared to use my favorite pink dishes. Too many toys and balls flying through the air from DS and DGSs (when my back is turned, of course). I would be crying if they got broken).

How beautifully your chandelier reflects in your mirror. I may copy that in my little dining area to bring in some much needed light.

Did you share your Mom's dishes with us last year? I can't remember them and I LOVE them. I love how the napkins, tablecloth, flowers, candleholders, and candles pull the colors out of your plates.

Don't disappear after the Holidays this year. Hang around and play with us.

Have a great Thanksgiving with all of your family around you. That's the best kind.

Bonnie, your table is very pretty. I LOVE your dishes, they can be used in so many styles. I am a big fan of plaids so I really like your napkins too, they bring in alot of seasonal color to the table in such a charming inexpensive way, you just can't miss with pretty cloth napkins. Love the red in your dining room, and that you have plates on the wall, one of my fav designers(Charles Faudree) does that alot in his designs. I want to paint my "den" that I am working on, in red, what color and brand did you use?

    Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I have that set of dishes too, but they are almost 40 years old and show the daily wear they get. We bought them in England and saved considerably on the cost. If you want any new pieces, keep a look out at Marshall's as they have some of that pattern every now and then.

    Bonnie,
How fun to come here and see new tables set for the Thanksgiving Day dinner. Love your mom's dishes. The plates on the wall and the one on your table below your mirror look great.

Your second picture with the reflection of the chandelier is so pretty. Your dining room is beautiful all set for dinner. Is your colors, off white and red or yellow and red? Very NIce and TFS. Punk

Thanks so much for your sweet comments. Betty, I think I shared this dinnerware last year with this group.

Punk, the wall colors are BM Raspberry Truffle below the chair rail and BM Bronzed Beige above the rail. The bronzed beige changes color, going from a pale gold to a greenish gold with the fluorescent lights that my DH put in the buffet lamps (grrrrr....I know they save energy, but I hate fluorescents!)

Love your WHOLE dining room. The whole look of it is put together so well. Love your tablescape too. Can't wait to see what you do for Christmas with that beautiful dining room!

    Your plates are beautiful!

Bonnie, Thanks for sharing your DR colors. So happy you use your DM dinnerware every Thanksgiving. I never used my DM dishes I used in my tablescape. I was afraid a piece might be broken and that would break my heart.

Bonnie...I always love looking at your DR.
Your Thanksgiving table is so grand looking, and
your dishes with the stems and flatware look just elegant.
