Experience with Toto Faucets for bathroom sink?

I saw a Toto faucet that I like, but don't have any experience with the brand and was wondering if other people have them and do they like them? I see that Toto toilets, especially the Ultramax, are quite popular here on the forum and get good reviews from people. Because of the positive reviews, I am strongly considering getting an Ultramax. I haven't seen anything here about Toto faucets, though, and I was wondering if anyone has Toto faucets in their bathroom and do they like them?

Seattlemamadrama, thanks for the feedback, it's helpful... definitely makes me hesitate. I was looking at the Toto Nexus two-handle widespread, but after reading your post, I have to wonder about Toto faucets. I had similar problems a few years ago with hum/squeal noise on a Grohe pullout faucet in my kitchen and would never buy that brand again. By the way, which Toto toilet do you have?

I haven't installed my Toto faucet yet, but the few reviews I found online were all positive. I will say that it is marvelously hefty, and the handles feel quite solid in the hand, unlike many faucets I looked at.

I certainly hope that the faucet works well, because I absolutely adore the way it looks. I had no sense at all of where I wanted to go design-wise in our master bath, but once I saw my Toto faucet, it all fell into place. I basically designed the bathroom around this faucet, adopting its clean lines and strong but minimalist aesthetic. The bathroom is almost done, and I am getting raves across the board from friends, family, and the work crew. If Toto's construction is anywhere near as good as their design, this faucet is going to be the best thing in the house!

Your Nexus widespread will work fine. I have never had an issue. However, if you must know - Toto does not make their own faucets. All of their fabulous toilets, but not the faucets. Let me know if you want suggestions for other clean line faucet.

    Thanks for the reply, Hyerground.

Yes, I absolutely welcome any suggestions you have for other faucets!

    Thanks, Susan

Just bumping this thread with a follow-up:

I've been using my Toto Nexus faucet for a month now, and it's terrific. No problems at all, definitely no odd noises. And of course I love the distinctive look.

(But I also love the Grohe pullout faucet in my kitchen, and have no noises with that either!)

I have 3 TOTO toilets and 2 TOTO faucets in my house. I love them all. I did have a problem with a slow leak in one of the faucets, which turned out to be a hair-line crack in the vale body, which would have been due to faulty material, not in the production of the part. What amazed me, was after determining the problem, a call to the tech support at TOTO resulted in a new part being shipped to me within 20 minutes of my phone call. There was no hassle what-so-ever, or attempt to put the blame on me. They did not even require me to send proof of purchase, or anything. So many companies try to shirk their responsibilities, but TOTO was wonderful. This experience has convinced me that this is indeed a great company to do business with. They really back up their products.
