Decorating for fall....

Is there anyone else who......doesn't? My reason is because I go so darn crazy at Christmas, it's too much work! Is that reason enough?

I DO hang a Halloween decoration on the door, then my fall one goes back the day after Halloween. ;o)

Sure, if that is what you want to do. I know lots of people like to jump over Thanksgiving to do their Christmas decorating. Personally, I like to take time for each holiday -- but that is just me.

We all seem to pretty much agree that each should do what works for them, and is most comfortable in their situation.

Until I joined this Forum a few years ago, Christmas was the ONLY Holiday I'd ever really decorated for! Judith's stacked plates tho, pulled me right in to start my newly discovered love of doing all this decorating.
What have y'all done to me...LOL

    Patty,

I think it's fine to do what ever your little heart desires as I've said before. If someone has a problem with that, then let it be their problem. I'm sure everyone here is excited to see all of your Christmas decorations. U Go Girl and Do It!

Karen, I love your sign but do you know how hard it is to concentrate when I'm tired, after a hard days work, after reading your cute little sign? Or do you care! It's probably a good thing, theres only one of you.LOL Oh that's right there is more just like you HERE. I LOVE IT!

I love fall decor, but it is Judith's fault that one side of my basement contains wall to wall shelves, full of decor for every holiday & season!

I am not big on Christmas but do the decor for the grandkids, so to each his own, I'm sure many have difficult memories for one season or holiday & makes it difficult to really get into that particular one, but there are no rules, just do what makes you happy!

Friends of ours have a neighbor who had a front & side yard that looked like a complete haunted house last month and last week the entire front & side yard has turned into what looks like the North Pole! I commented on it & my friend's husband said, yep, they missed Thanksgiving somehow & jumped right to Christmas. It was 69 degrees that day & we got a kick out of the North Pole scene in their yard as we stood there in shorts!

    Karen, love your sign!!!

Your right it is a lot of work, it all goes back to making time for what makes you happy or what you feel is important to you. My neighbor is a runner, where as I say "I don't have time for that". She makes time to run and I make time to decorate. She doesn't feel guilty about her choice and neither should you. My neighbor and her GS enjoy my decorations and you can enjoy all the ones on the forum. And if you do Christmas be sure to post pics.
