Top Hat Table

Set a new table for this weekend. I bought a set of New Year lights for this table but they are out in the shed and we now have 20" of snow and it's zero out. So guess I'll still have them next year.lol

I used my new Jaclyn Smith Today salad plates and beautiful chargers I received for Christmas this year from family. DH painted the silver candle holders for me so I added 2 of my MS hats on them. They are ornaments but I've never used them.

DD had given me the kissing eskimo s & p shakers. The crystal beverage dispenser is from last Christmas. Bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, another gift this year. Penguin Mixer from ys last summer. Large snowflakes under chg's from DT.

Not sure what we are doing for New Years but the table is set.

Punk what a great table. I love the look of the
Silver & Black..I saw those JS dishes right before the holidays, and thought they were just lovely. I like how you layered them with the chargers and the big Snowflake from DT.. I got the same ones).
Your napkins look nice on an angle under the dishes. Did you use two different napkins or is that one that's B&W? Using the MS hats on the candleholders was clever.
I remember your Beverage Dispenser from last year and I like how you created a centerpiece with it. Is the snowflake on the stand a votive? It's very pretty.
    Lovely table.

Jane, the enablers on here made me go to the DS and get those snowflakes and I'm so glad they did. Have you used yours on a table? I used two different napkins. A black and a tan napkin in this setting. I should of used a large plate on this table but wasn't sure with using the snowflake and charger. Help me out all you pro's. What do you think?

The snowflake is on a stand and uses a votive candle. I discovered I don't own a plain wht tablecloth and couldn't find my black one. I'm sure the black one went out to the shed with all my Halloween stuff. Sounds like I still need to do some shopping huh?lol

So you passed up the JS dishes? I can hardly wait to show all of you my new glasses. I may have to wait till spring to bring them out. They are green, yellow and purple. 4 of each color.

I've never used the BD and hesitated to put snow in it but didn't get any close to the spout. It's my lg cloche now and I will be putting alot of different things in it.haha

    Thanks for all your comments.

Punk...I think the plates look good as they are.
    I thought the napkins were B&W..but that's my screen...lol
I haven't used my snowflakes yet. I was thinking for a winter table. I've been really behind on doing tables here, as you must have noticed. (too much running around).
I've bought so many things to do them, but between not
having time or just not up to it in spirits..the time has gotten away from me. I'm hoping maybe before the weekend is up to do one or two.
I'm looking forward to seeing your glasses..the colors sound lovely. Maybe you could put a piece of clear tape over the spout area of your Beverage Dispenser..might keep it from getting clogged. I don't think you need an excuse to go shopping for another tablecloth...You know the 'shopping bug' is calling you!! lol

Punk, that's a totally awesome table. The chargers are beautiful-what a great gift. Your DH sounds like a creative kind of guy to paint the candle holders for you. Love the top hats!
    Happy New Year!

Super, duper Punk. The snowflakes are too perfect with the black and silver, I love the big one on the stand. Your new plates are fabulous and I like how used that drink dispenser as a cloche. I can't wait to see your new glasses, I'm starting to gather things for my Mardi Gras tables and they sound perfect. Happy New Year!

Punk, What a Fantastic table. Those plates are lovey. I like the contrast place mats and dishes against the white table cloth. Striking!! The snowflakes and top hats are perfect. I love all of it.
    Happy New Year !!

Love the drink dispenser! If it isn't used as a dispenser at all anymore, it would look great in the summer with some sand, shells, whole lemons, maybe a few small flags, and/or any picnic accoutrement that would fit. (You guys have created a monster! )
I look at the picture, then scroll back a ga-zillion times as people point out things I never noticed the first billion times!

Oh, Punk, I just love this set up. So pretty. All the layering at each place setting really looks quite elegant. Actually, each of the elements individually are very attractive, but then, used together, they really make for a very sophisticated look. And I think the flatware finishes the whole thing off!

Also, what does MS stand for? I know it must be something pretty simple, but I don't get it. I want some of those top hats, by the way.

One of the shots gave a nice close-up of the now-silver candle sticks. Those are very neat. Like the "texture" they have.

Your new chargers are to die for! Gosh. I'm getting charger envy. I only have super plain ones. I'm going to have to go shopping, I can see that.

Love those chargers, is that a raised design on them? So elegant looking, I think I need more chargers too! That little eskimo couple are just so sweet--made me say awwwh! I'm assuming MS means Martha Stewart, is that right? Great idea to spray paint the silver on the candle holders and to elevate the top hats on them. Your silver service pieces really look elegant too. Girl, that shed of your's must be a big one! You just seem to have so many neat treasures out there! ;o) Happy New Year!

WOW - talk about glitz and glamor - that table has it all. I am amazed how the snowflakes take on a whole different feel when paired with black. I have those big ones from DT and hang them outside. Placed under the charger and on top of the black they look like crystal and very elegant ~~mental note~~keep them handy for a winter table setting TFS .....

WOW! That looks great! Love all the sparkle, and the plates and chargers are wonderful!
We've got the same 20 inches here, but it has warmed up.
    Love this table!

Jane, sure hope your feeling up to setting some tables this weekend. You know I have missed not seeing your beautiful tables lately. I'll go get some tape! Thanks

Bonnie, thanks, DH loves to paint and cut wood for me. Not much for cooking and cleaning though.lol

Frou, can hardly wait to see your Mardi Gras table. Loved your New Years table. What kind of camera did you get? Sure shot some nice photos.

Nana, so glad you enjoyed this table. Happy New Year to you too.

Nancy, great ideas for the BD. Thanks. Sorry I have to say that I'm not sorry for helping create a Monster! I'm thrilled you are hear sharing with us.

OA, Luvs is right, MS stands for Martha Stewart. Check at KMart and see if they have any. Your charges may be plain but your colors are wonderful!

Luvs, you would notice the raised design. They are roses and leaves!!!lol Our shed is 36 x 48 and has an upstairs so it stores alot.

Lynne, I never thought about hanging the snowflakes outside but I'm sure they are pretty. I'm sure some of the other ladies will be using theres on some of the tables coming. I like the way they look with the black and silver too and I Love crystal.

Kathleen, thanks so much for all your comments on this table. We are suppose to be getting more snow next week.YUK

You are all so sweet with your comments. I love to play with my tables and am always ready for any help you'd like to offer. It's been a fun year being able to use so many things that would of stayed packed away forever.

Well, I am lovin' this black & silver theme for NY's, too! Also frou's gold/blk! Wow! Fun tables!

Like luvs, the little eskimoes are so cute...& what a great icon for NY's Eve! What struck me was each place setting in itself...love the stacking combo & the angle of the napkins looks great! Everything here also shouts, "Happy New Year!" TFS, punk! Jeanne S.

Very elegant and the lil guys smooching add just the perfect touch of color and whimsey.

Punk..just another fantastic table from you! LOL. Girl, you rock! Not only your boundless energy but your creativity. Those chargers and plates are lovely by the way. Black is always stunning IMO.

Maybe before next winter you should build a tunnel to that Shed of Many Treasures. Then the snow wouldn't keep you out of there! ;o)

    hugs, Karen

Jeanne, thanks for all your sweet comments. Sorry I didn't get back here before. With all the beautiful decorations being posted I had forgot about this post.

Lee, glad you liked this table and the kissing eskimos.

PM, I so wish we would of built that shed right beside our home. We have talked about adding on but I'd rather rebuild and DH doesn't want to.

We did pack some of the Christmas decorations back over there last weekend and I brought my NY lights in.lol

    Thanks for the comments.
