New Table Today

This year when ask what I'd like for Christmas, told the family some goodies for tablescapes. Here are a few of my gifts, a set of Coventry dishes, set of three hurricanes, and a couple of candle holders.

Couldn't resist setting a new table tonight after putting away some of the Christmas decorations. Punk

Punk...I was about to go to bed, but then I saw your post.
I must say, your tables are getting better and better.
You really got some lovely gifts from your family.
They were actually listening to you!!
The dishes, hurricanes and candleholders...all look so nice together. Love the red, white and black theme.
What cute little napkin holders. Are they new too? They're unique.
Also the red S&Ps are really nice, as is that pretty candle centerpiece. Again, such a great job.
I remember not too long ago, you said you couldn't do it ...now you're on a 'Roll'!! I love it.

I love the way you arranged the napkins aroud the plates, it's really original and makes the whole setting look gorgeous!

Yes! I second the comment about the napkin arrangement. Very nice. I'll be using that idea for sure.

    Good Morning,

Jane thanks for your comments. The napkin rings were DD and she never used them so brought them up to see if I wanted them.

Prosperity and OA, thanks for your comments on the napkin arrangement. I thought since I didn't have any plain white plates I would try using the napkin to pull color for me.

I will go back and play with this table more so if any of you have ideas, let them flow to me. I'm thinking I should of went for a snow table for now. What do all of you have on your tables after Christmas?

    Thanks again, Punk

Those napkin rings are so cute--never seen any like them. How great that your family listened and got you things you asked for. Cute little salt/peppers too and the color ties in perfectly. I agree, you are on a roll. ;o)

I love the black and white plates, and the pop of red is great. That is so wonderful that your family gave you those items as a gift! My DD does that too for me, making the tablesetting even more meaningful!

Very pretty! And I am happy you got some things you wanted from Santa..:)

Luvs, glad you liked the napkin rings and the salt and pepper shakers are the same ones I used on my Christmas tables.

Judithva, thanks for your comments on the plates and th addition of red with them. DD listens so well and has pretty good taste so it's fun to let her know I appreciate all she does.

Kathleen, thanks for your comment and I was pleased with my presents.

    W O W !!!

    Just look at you go!!

I love how you set those plates and placed the napkins around them to almost look like a red, white, and black heart! As we say around here- This tablescape is "Fancy-Dancy"!!

As Martha says, "It's a good thing."

I love the unique napkin rings. DD 'did good'. She doesn't have another set laying around that she's not using does she? LOL

Can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Here's another "I love how you arranged the napkins"! They really set off your plates and the napkin rings are very cute. I also love how you layered your centerpiece with the white doily, red berrries and candleholder and the white candle.

They said it all, but I still love the napkins and your new dishes are too beautiful. All your Christmas gifts were great.

Betty, did I forget to say it's my early Valentines table?LOL Now that you mention a heart shape I could do just that. DD had bought the napkin rings to take apart and use for scrap book pages. I have 8 of them so I can set a table for more if need be. I'll ask when she got them.

Thanks for the sweet comments on the plate arrangement. I didn't know what to do with square plates and since I haven't bought any white plates yet this is what I ended up with. I've always liked different and love to try new things.

Dream, thank you so much for your sweet comments on everything. The doily is one DM made. I have so many and thought I need to try a doily to help brighten this table up. The white candle is a battery operated one that came in a set of 3 I got for Christmas. They smell wonderful.

Syble, thanks for your sweet comments and glad you liked the table and gifts. I am one who likes any gift even if it's work, like the steamer. And my shoes are a must with the miles I like to put on.LOL
