My Christmas Table

I was going through this whole big thing with which color table cloth ( there was a white option too) but I haven't been able to find the things I want like green candles. The right plaid runner or a pretty green velvet one with gold trim so I am just going to go with what I've got the red not the green. The green is just a little too dull. The red is out there and vibrant but I still like it for some reason. I'll try again next year for something different. I'll have all year to find some plaid and velvet and can make what I want if its not in the stores.

If I can find it I want to add green napkins with the silverware inside on each plate.

I love all your garland. I like the red better, too. It's just so much more cheerful. Your china is gorgeous.

black-thumb, I really like your Christmas china and matching stems. And your centerpiece is very pretty. Love all of your garland. I think I like the table with the red cloth best also.

Love your Christmas china pattern, very pretty. Those candle holders look so elegant too. You are very energetic to do garland all around the top of your room! Looks very pretty. Love the china with the red, although green or gold would be nice with it too. Just a thought, instead of buying another tablecloth, maybe you could even find a fabric you like and just add a nice wide border of it all around this tablecloth. I'm thinking maybe a pretty plaid or even a shiny gold would really make it look elegant. Can you tell I'm one of those "reuse, redo, recycle" kind of people? ;o)

Thank you everone for your kind reviews! I was looking for a traditional dinnerware set and came across those in a Brylane Home catalog. I purchased them last year but didn't get the matching glasses. I thought they might not look good being hand painted and all. This year I decided I could at least look at them and they are very beautiful in person.

I have been mulling over this tablecloth thing for weeks now. I am happy with the final decision to go with the red. The chairs are going to be gold chivari.

I wanted to add more green but I havne't been able to find it in stores anywhere. Plaids either. Those table cloths aren't actual table cloths. I just went to the material store and got a yard of material I liked to see how it would look. I do intend to go back and purchase more of the red and probably the green as well for the buffet tables. I really did want plaid but I haven't found any plaid ribbon or material this year. I would like to add a green border to the red material. I will have to see how much time I have. I will probably add some tealights around the table though.
