I have a wreath on a door with no electricity near by. Does anyone know where to find lights with battery?

Have you tried Hobby Lobby or Michaels?

Any big box home improvement store will have them, Lowes, Home Depot, Ace. True Value, etc. Also stores like Hobby Lobby, Micheals, etc. I have even seen small sets for miniture trees at the dollar stores which would be perfect for a wreath.

Thank you. I wonder how long they stay lit. Wish I had more electricity.

How cold does it get where you live?...that affect battery life considerably.

I had a new battery operated wreath on my front door that used 2 "D" batteries yrs back. Battery operated lights were just coming onto the market.
My front door is protected by a storm door.
The temps outside that night were in the teens....it lasted all of 5 minutes,
Batteries don't work well in cold weather.

If the cold isn't a problem, I would recommend getting 2 pairs of rechargeable batteries to swap out.
If the wreath used LED lights it will last longer too.

Our wreaths stay lit for 6 hours; are off for 18 and then on again for 6 hours. We have a timer option as well as a twinkle option. I found them at Lowe's for $39 each.

Thanks for the help. I am in Ma. and it does get cold. Also it is not protected by a storm door. Well maybe I will get 2 and swap out like you suggested Jim.

I have some WONDERFUL battery operated lights that are on a timer. They come on everyday for six hours, off for 18 hours. I covered the battery box because mine are exposed to the elements as well. Works WONDERFULLY! They are LED and I love them. The LED lights are so much better than when they first started out!

    I got them from QVC

I went on QVC and looked for the lights but could not find. They sound like what I would be looking for.

Do you have an Ikea near you? They have some really good LED battery light strands for 2.99 (here in Canada).

    Livvy:

Here is the item number: H15797

You can enter the item number in the search box on the QVC home page, or on any page on their website. It is WONDERFUL to see my house all lit up when coming home from work on a cold, rainy day (we've had several of those lately!)

I bought them too from QVC, but haven't used them yet. They said they would work in the cold..we'll see, I hope so!

Thank you PDG, I just ordered a couple of sets. They had good reviews.
