Halfway done!

I've been pretty lazy getting my decorations up, I also have to wait until the 2yr old is taking a nap so I can concentrate :)

Here is my humble entry. Not much room in there and I'm looking for a better piece than that little table.

My little tree in the dining room. It's up on a pedestal and it's only a couple of feet high. A TS score last year, along with the glass ball ornaments.

The fireplace mantle, it's put together a little haphazardly...that seems to be a theme with me this year!

Mirror in living room. You wouldn't believe how much stuff I had to move out of that reflection LOL!

I still have the dining room buffet and the actual Christmas tree to do. We are getting a live one and the kids want to help pick it out of course, so we'll get that done this weekend. I hope to have the buffet done tomorrow and maybe a few more vignettes :)

Very nice, your mantel is a showstopper, just beautiful. What a lovely shaped mirror and swag. I love the blue birds with the gold in your kitchen window. The kids will have a great time picking out the tree, I miss those days with my DS (grown and out of state). I know it's hard working around small childrens needs, but these will be your best Christmas' ever.

Love your dining room tree and the garland on your mantle is to die for! Making notes of what to look for during the after Christmas sales this year.

Oh my! I love the "haphazardness" of your mantel! It's a great casual look. And your little tree is very cute with all the berries. Love the birds also! All very nicely done! Bet your kids are very excited. Have fun picking out a tree. :-)

I agree..your little DR tree is just lovely, and
your 'Haphazard' mantel..is NOT at all. I love
how you put it together and what you used. It all looks so beautiful against the brick fireplace.
Lovely looking mirror with the garland, and I like your
Kitchen Window..(wish I had a kitchen window). Very
    nicely done.
It's a nice tradition getting a 'real tree' with the kids. I always loved doing that.
Hope you have a great time finding 'just the right one'!!

I agree with all of the above comments--everything looks really nice, and I especially love the kitchen window with the pretty birds. I have a kitchen window, but the ledge is very narrow--all I could do was prop a few plated up there--so now I'm jealous of your's! ;o)

That little TS tree was definitely a score! And its one of the prettiest little decorated trees I've seen yet.
And the rest of your decor is really wonderful. I've looked several times already, and will more. Greenery and birds are my favorite part of Holiday decorating, tho I've never done anything wonderful with them like you have.

Agree with everyone else, I don't think your decorations are 'hapharzard'. Your mantle is very nice, I like the fresh feeling from all of the greenery. The blue & gold go great together. The little tree is very pretty.

I agree with everyone else, your decor it great! Love your mantel, it is lushly done, not haphazard at all, and the wreath is a great complement to the mantel. I enjoyed the birds in the decor too. Great job!

I responded last night, but it's not here!
Anyway, thank you for your encourageing words!! I've been fussing with the mantle here and there...like it needs MORE things added in there :)

Here is something I did last night. I have a buffet sitting just below the opening and thought I'd do something grand and brought in a bronze statue I had inherited from outside. I'm still fussing with this, too, so any suggestions you have would be great. I'm going to look for some live greenery to put in the garland and maybe place somewhere by the deer. The "snow" part needs help, but that lightbulb hasn't gone off yet.

It's all beautiful, and I especially love your mantle. I really like the display on your buffet that you added. I don't think it needs tweaking at all. It's gorgeous as is.

By the way, is your dining room black? I've seen several black dining rooms over on the decorating forum, and they always look so beautiful and elegant.

Tammy, it's a color called Boulder Blues. So dark blue that it's almost black. I'm planning on adding wainscot and painting it creamy white, but that keeps getting bumped from the list. My aunt volunteered one of her chandeliers for the room, too, I just have to go up there and pick it out.
