A Simple Christmas Table

It's funny, I have tons of Christmas decorations...always did a Big Christmas dinner, but I don't seem to have many Christmas table accessories.

My tables were always put together using mostly white dishes, and accents of red or green, with candles, napkins and a festive centerpiece.

So here's one simple Christmas table, without all the usual table accessories.

Hope you like it.

While doing some toy shopping at Target, they were having a sale on Christopher Radko dishes. The dinner plates were 4 for $12.00.

Guess you can say I did some toy shopping for me too ...

The gold chargers I got years ago on sale at Marshalls

12 for $6. The Santa Candle holders were a gift from a niece...and the Tablecloth, Napkins Rings and Napkins were also a gift from my DSIL a few years back.

Jane, your table is gorgeous and those dishes are to die for! I don't see anything "simple" about your setting at all. It's very warm and elegant looking. What time should I be there for dinner?? LOL

Lovely, Jane!! Your dining room is my very favorite and it's always a treat to see your decs in there. This "simple" one is really "simply wonderful!".

    Dream...HA!
I was just posting my other simple table, and saw your
    comment... lol

Well, from some of the VERY elegant tables I see here, I feel this is very modest in comparison.
However, I thank you for your sweet comments.

As far as coming over for dinner, I'm about to go down to the kitchen now... I hear DH fussing...guess it's that time...lol I'll watch for you!

That's BEAUTIFUL! and those are great prices you paid for the pretty plates and chargers!!!

I love your chairs and the room with all those windows too. What a nice setting to decorate.

I agree with everyone's comments here. Lovely new dishes and what a great buy on the gold chargers. Your napkin rings and the gold pot holding the poinsettias as well as the gold chargers, spread the gold color really well. Candles always make a table special too. Looks wonderful, Jane. Luvs

First of all, are you feeling better? I really like your plates with those gold chargers. I don't know if I've seen matching table cloth and napkins before but they look good.

This just makes me want to get up and go redo my table but I haven't even done dishes so that's not going to happen tonight.

If this is simple, I can't wait to see extravagant!

I would love a close-up of your centerpiece. It looks so pretty.

Hey... I found the bowls last year in an after Christmas sale at Target. We could just add soup to the menu and I'll come on up with Dream for dinner! Well.... I guess you would have to re-set the table since I missed dinner last night. LOL

How wonderful that your family gives you tablescaping items as gifts! The Santa candleholders are darling and the tablecloth and napkins go so well with the dishes.

What a great deal on those chargers. I love the detail on them.

Keep the pictures coming! I'm loving them!

Lynn...thank you for the sweet comments about my DR.
Honestly, when I think of SW living...yours would be MY
first choice! Love your home and all its decor.

party music...I guess you can say I was in the Right Place at the Right Time...to pay those prices!!
    Thanks for the compliments.

    yachter..thank you..glad you 'Love Them' !! lol

Luvs..thank you and glad you liked my 'Gold Touches' !!
I don't use too much of it..but for Christmas I think it's special.

punk...thank you, I'm feeling much better...I've been catching up on some rest now...and it does the body some good.
I think we all burn the candle at both ends this time of year.
Don't you go feeling you have to 'redo' your table...I think it was just lovely as is.

Betty! I'm putting 'The Pot' on for soup. No time is too late! Bring on those bowls!!
The centerpiece is actually three small pots of poinsiettas that I bought on clearance at CTS for $1 ea. They have really nice pinecones, greenery and berries mixed in them.
I just stuck them in a long metal planter, and added some gold ribbon in between the base of them. Glad you liked it.
I think my family gave me those table gifts, cause I was the one who Always did Christmas at my house and they were the guests!! lol

Just beautiful! It's not simple it is simply elegant. Your whole room just glows - love that. Your dishes are pretty and the table linens look like they were made for them - were they?? Thanks for sharing.
