Another Simple Christmas Table

Here's another table I put together 'shopping' in my house!

Again, I don't have too much in the 'Table Accessories' dept...so I worked with what I had.

The small plates were purchased several years ago from CTS.

They were 2/$3 and in three designs, along with matching coffee mugs. They had a Reindeer, Wreath and the Tree that's pictured here.

I bought 4 each...in all three designs (naturally)..but for this tablesetting, I only used the Christmas Tree design.

The underplate is my Old Britian Castles, and the Charger Plate was purchased at TJ Max @ $2 ea.

The Santa Centerpiece was a gift from my DD a few years back. It has lots of wonderful detail. She bought it from 'Petals'... Some of you might remember them (the've closed since). They had the most beautiful florals and gifts.

CTS Plates... There are little flecks of Gold in the tree, that's missing in the photo..and is very pretty.

The flatware is Pfaltzgraff 'Winterberry'..

here's my 'Poor Man's Cloche' !! lol...

I'm still looking for a 'Real One'...

One last Table shot...

Okay...so nothing fancy...but I hope you enjoyed it.

Jane, I remember Petals--used to drool over some of the flower arrangements in their catalog. Your santa is wonderful, so detailed and such pretty colors.

This table looks wonderful, I think your red/white plates almost look like a fancy doily under your cute tree plates! They set them off nicely.

Your kidding, right? Nothing fancy, ok. It's beautiful and you are so good at putting your tables together. I really enjoyed seeing your chandielier all decorated.

Your DD bought you a very cute Santa and thanks for showing some close ups. The candles are pretty. Love your Old Britian Castles plates as well as your tree plates on top.

Jane, I wanna come shop at your house! Your table is beautiful and I love your Santa Is he just sitting in front of the arrangement, or is he part of it? Also, is that a tiny butter dish? Another fantastic table!

Simple? NOT!! It is so pretty with the bright colors. I want a close-up of the dish with the birds.

Love the Old World Santas in your cloche. I haven't found any for sale that I really like, so I bought DH a magazine about Christmas carving that had some in it and told him to get busy!! We will see how that goes.

Every time I go into the SA Store I see one of those old brown cheese trays with the dome like your dome and I've been tempted to buy it to use the dome the way you did. If it is still there next time, it may come home with me!!

DD certainly has the eye for what you like. The Santa centerpiece is exquisite.

Your Old Britian Castle plates coordinate so well with the curtains peeking down in that one shot!! Now THAT'S what I call an eye for detail!!

You spoiled us with all of the Thanksgiving tablescapes, and we're waiting for all of the pictures of the rest of your Christmas tablescapes. :o)

Came back to look again, Jane, and I have to tell you that the first picture is just so gorgeous with your light and the tree and the table--it really looks like it came right out of the pages of a high end magazine! So very pretty. Thanks for the wonderful eye candy. Luvs

Great tablescape, I love the layering that you did, my favortie way to do a table. And of course red is one of my favorite colors along with collecting santas!

OH, slinkey, I would love to sit at your table! It is PERFECT to me! Your Santa is just so-o-o-o CUTE! And I love how you used the greenery/berry combos on the table ... with Santa, candles, & small oval dish.

Also, the coche is just so CUTE, too! I don't know what qualifies as a real one, but I like the look of your santas on the white bottom which goes so well with your top plate on the dish settings.

TFS this wonderful room ... the french doors, the draped windows & that gorgeous tree & chandy! Happy New Year! Jeanne S.

It's just lovely, Jane! Another Ahhhhhhhh tablescape/room. Love your Petals Santa, too. You've done a beautiful job with your chandelier~ simple but elegant! I really love seeing your tree in the dining room like that. It adds such a festive touch to the room for the holidays. I'm now kind of regretting donating one of my own narrow trees to our local foodbank as, after seeing yours, it might have been perfect for our dining room. Oh well, I'll just have to sit and admire the pics of yours!

    Wow...thank you Everyone..
So glad you all enjoyed my 'Simple Table' !!
Honestly..if you look at it, I think the Santa is the 'Main Attraction'...then I guess the red against the white.
Like I said, I don't have much in the way of 'Christmas Table Accessories' like some of you, who have set some VERY impressive tables.

Luvs...glad you remembered Petals, and their catalog...You're right, I used to drool over it too, and thanks for the 'High End' compliment...LOL

Mary ruth...thank you..glad you liked the 'Santas Under Glass...lol..sounds like an exotic dish!!

Punk...thanks...DD did surprise me with that Santa..personally I wouldn't have bought it for myself (way too much $$) ..that's my generation..but her generation..has no problem!! lol

dream...You can 'shop' at my house, if you let me 'shop' at yours!! ... I've seen some pretty nice things you have, that I'd be very happy with!

Betty.. honestly, one of my dreams, is to carve a Santa...I've been telling DH for the longest time that I want to try to do one. If Alfred ever gets to doing one...I'd love to see it. I don't know if you ever saw the tv movie - 'The Dollmaker'...with Jane Fonda..ever since I saw that, I was inspired, but never got to it...guess I'm afraid to start and find out I can't do it! lol
Also, I bought that cheese dome last summer at GW for $1!
Now make sure you get the one you saw...

judith...thanks...I love the 'layering' look too and, of course RED...can't you tell! lol

jeanne..thanks, and Happy New Year to you too.
I always enjoy looking at your DR..I think we enjoy the same decorating style.

I guess when I say 'A Real Cloche'... not like
    mine.
The ones I've seen displayed here are just exquisite, and taller than what I'm using.

lynn..thank you and I'm so glad you enjoyed everything in my DR !! I'm sure the tree you donated (bless you) is being enjoyed by someone Very Much, and I'm sure another tree will come your way, that will have 'your name' on it!

    Thanks again Ladies...

    HAPPY NEW YEAR...

Oh, yes, I remember Petals catalogs. I drooled over them too.
Now your tablesetting is not just "another simple" table it is lovely. Your dishes are so pretty, the Santa and its detail makes a great centerpiece. I really like your tray of candles, would love to see or read more about it's details. Everything makes for such a warm and festive Christmas tablesetting!
