Decided to share. .

I usually just lurk over here, but since I really love to decorate for every holiday, I find myself here alot. I enjoy everyones style of decorating, so I decided I might share a few of my vignettes with you all. We're still not finished, we have our two large trees to put up. Hopefully they will be up by this weekend.

I love all your decorations - thanks for sharing! I planned to do some decorating this past weekend, but didn't have ambition to get moving. This is giving me incentive!

I love your Santa collection. And your snowman display on the black shelf is really pretty too. You did a wonderful job on all of your vignettes.

I forgot to mention that all of the Santas on the fireplace were handcarved by my DH. He does wonderful work, he just hasn't had time lately to carve any new ones. I love everyone of these little guys, they each have their own personality.

OMG - I have bottle brush tree envy - I love your bottle brush trees. I have green ones that date back to the late 50's but I love your rainbow ones. I also have that exact same table cloth that I bought back in 1968 - my very first Christmas table cloth after I got married.

I love all your vignettes. Your husband does wonderful work. Thanks you so much for coming our of 'lurkdome' and sharing your delightful Christmas :) ....

Wow, you're NOT FINISHED? That is a lot of decorating!

I just love your fireplace, I mean the fireplace itself, without any decoration, it's beautiful!!!

The Santa's that your husband carves are just beautiful, what wonderful work he does. Does he sell them too? What a talent!

All your vignettes are so cute, but I especially like the Santa's, they are priceless! I see you like to use the bell jar cloches too, I love mine, I see them used more & more in magazines now too!

Glad you came out of lurkdome!!!

Love the Santas that your husband made....those will be treasured for generations! There are things that my grandfather and great-grandfather have made that are some of my most prized treasures.

Love2weed, we're so glad you decided to join in and share your pretty decorations with us. Your DH is very talented, love those santas. You have a lovely home, I really said "wow" over your pretty wallpaper in the dining room. Love those pretty flowers. Love your jars and cloche, and how you've used all those pedestal dishes to show things off. No going back now that you've joined in, hope you will tell us more about yourself, and share pics of more decorations and any pretty dishes you may have. Luvs

WOW!!! What wonderful displays. Your hubby is very talented. I am also drooling over your number of bottle brush trees. My fav though is all the angels in pictures 5 and 6. And that little white tree is very pretty and the paper houses as well. So glad you decided to come out of lurkdom and share with us. Can't wait to see your big trees!

Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments. I've decided my obsession about Christmas is either an illness or therapy. My DH and I are always on the lookout for Christmas. It's a bit embarassing, but alot of our stuff is still in crates. I tell the kids all the time, when we die not to just pitch everything, because believe it or not some of it is worth some money. DH is more the vintage collector and he has a large collection of celluloid santas, reindeer, etc. The creme de le creme is the vintage ornament tree. It has over a 1000 ornaments on it. He's working on it now, he works 2nd shift and he spends a few hours a day for a week decorating it. I will post pic when it finished.

I love your vintage collections, too. And your husband's Santas fit right in. They're beautiful - much better than some I've seen at craft shows around here. I don't suppose he sells them, does he?

Thanks for sharing. You've given me some great ideas.

Love2Weed, Wow!!! First of all, do you really love to weed? Thats the one thing I really dont like about gardening!! :) And your decor is fantastic. I love your collection of Santas. The fact they are handmade and both you and your husband have a passion for christmas things is great!!! I really like how you have used cake plates to put up your collections. Simply beautiful!!!

All I can say is WOW and Double WOW!!! Everything that everyone else said I agree with. Make that three people drooling over the bottlebrush trees. How do you store them to keep them so pretty?

And the fact that your DH carved those Santas for you makes them the most special thing of all. I too love how you've used the pedestal plates to show your collections. Beautiful.

Love the Santies. What a lucky woman you are!

I have to add my name to the list of those drooling over your trees as well. I just love those - they caught my eye immediately. Wonderful!

I really like your decorating style - even though there's a lot of "things" in one spot, there's still space enough around them that it doesn't look crammed together. :-)

Thanks again--and no I do not love2weed, it's just that I do have a large garden and find myself doing it all the time, so I must love it. LOL No my husband does not sell his Santas. I don't think he can bear to part with them. He has given away a few to family and friends. As far as storing the bottle brush trees, DH is more particular than I am. He takes foam and pushes the tree base into it. I on the other hand just toss them lightly in a box.
