Wouldn't it be easier to put a door on the laundry room? I've never heard of anyone paneling W/Ds but you might ask on the laundry forum.

We've done this numerous times. Asko and Miele made or make models that accept panels directly on the units and we've put the Boschs behind doors that look like cabinets.

In all case it takes exceptional planning and execution by the elect. and plumbing trades to pull this off. It also requires that your cabinets be deeper than the standard 24" or the units won't be in line with the rest of the cabs.

Agree w/ weissman, easier, faster, cheaper and better to put a door on the room than mess around with integrating washers especially if you have a room dedicated to them. What usually happens is the doors are left open on the washer so the seals don't mildew and nothing looks worse than a cabinet door ajar.

Well yes actually would be easier to put in the garage, but my husband doesn't want to do that, and since the laundry area is adjacent to the kitchen and can be seen from the family room and is on the way exit to the backyard, I was hoping to make the room seamless from the kitchen to outside yard space. ? A door would close off the home I'm trying to make appear larger.. but it is not easy that's for sure

Just my opinion , but making a home look/feel larger by expanding views into a laundry / mud room is not ideal. Some things are best left hidden.

Laundries, bedrooms, baths, and mechanical rooms are best kept from public view.
