Appliances Connection

Have any of you purchased appliances from Appliances Connection? If so, is their customer service good?

In my experience they've been great but I've only ordered from them once with no hassle. They consistently have the lowest prices out of anyone and after you punch in your zip on the product page all of the installation prices are reduced. That link shows you what you'd expect from any online appliance dealer. Appliances are a hard thing to ship and install so things are going to happen. 8/10 lifetime score with over 6,000 reviews is pretty damn good. However, I'm fortunate enough to have built up a relationship with a rep at a local store, Karl's Appliances, and he beats every price they have by about 5% including the tax difference. But if he wasn't so agreeable to accommodating the prices I'd be right back to appliance connection. The beauty of it all is you have to pay by credit card. So even if everything goes south just reverse the charge. My 2 cents. Good luck!

    Thanks, kegs. Anyone else?

Point of order. Past threads on this topic have revealed that are two different businesses with very similar names.

One is Appliance Connection ("appliance" singular).

The other is Appliances Connection ("appliances" plural).

One is in Gulf Coast states, the other in Brooklyn.

I've seen a lot of horrible reviews for both Appliance Connection and Appliances Connection. I'd walk away.

I bought my Fagor oven there. I learned after I ordered it that it was out of stock and the restocking date was pushed back several times, eventially 2 months or so (that manufacturer, as some of you may know, is financially precarious). They were very pleasant to deal with over the phone though, and also helped me to obtain the rebate that was in effect when I ordered it but had expired when the appliance arrived (I needed to include the serial number to obtain the rebate, which obviously I didn't know until I received the appliance). The manufacturer was giving them the erroneous shipment dates, so the only thing I can fault AC for is showing something as being in stock that really wasn't. They also used an excellent shipping company, and the item arrived in flawless condition.

Well, after kegs' glowing recommendation, I placed my order. Did not see the other recommendations until today. According to Appliances Connection the order is on its way and I sure am praying that they items arrive in good, new condition. Please add your prayers with me if you will.

Hi, was looking to order from Appliances Connection and wondered how that delivery for walnutcreek turned out? Hope everything went well with the Bosch appliances!

I would be also very interested in the outcome of that order "walnutcreek". I just checked the prices and they were REALLY good with free shipping - wow - too good to be true?

All of the appliances except for one were in good order. The cooktop had a gouge in the bottom stainless steel frame. The delivery firm took a picture of the damage and sent it to Appliances Connection (AC). AC contacted me to advise that that panel can be replaced, they can redeliver the cooktop, they will send the replacement frame directly to my home, and schedule a certified technician to replace the panel. I sent AC a message today asking when all of that could be effected and advised that I would like to have it installed this coming Tuesday. I know the date for installation can probably not happen, but no harm in asking.

The people at AC and the delivery company JB Hunt and it's employees have all been a delight to work with.

So, Margo and Tommy, I recommend that you have no fear of ordering from them. My experience has been very good.

My appliances that did arrive safely should have been installed by now; however, the fellow doing the installation fell ill and is now recuperating, so we have rescheduled the intallations for Tuesday. That is why I am hoping AC can have the cooktop situation done by then.

Thank you walnutcreek. I might try to do what kegs did and talk to my Karl's appliances person if they can match it at least. Now I have to make final decision on the appliances.

appliancesconnection has the worst delivery system available on the planet Earth.
they do have the best prices in town but it all depends on what your time is worth. if you don't mind sitting around three hours after the scheduled delivery time it's well worth it.

I am looking for people who ordered from Appliances Connection company and received damaged products. Please contact me with your story.

My experience was like a lot of other people: I received damaged goods, and mostly just a middle finger from their "customer support" team.

Here are some choice photos of the "new" ventilation hood I received, which was dinged up, missing clips, missing screws, loose motor housing, etc.:

We ordered a frigidaire induction range from the appiancesconnection early this spring. When I tracked the shipping delivery, I realized that the range we ordered was not the range being delivered. I had the email/paper trail to confirm I had ordered correctly. When I contacted them I was told they substituted an electric smooth top because what we had ordered was no longer stocked. When I canceled the order, I had to eat the restock fee.

It was 100% bait and switch.

We ended up buying an LG induction Range from Costco and have been very satisfied

I ordered a complete kitchen set of appliances in August, and was told it would be delivered in September. I took a picture of the delivery date for my own verification. After making numerous non ending calls, and dates being pushed and pushed, I started getting deliveries months later. My excitement was quickly squashed because everything had some kind of damage in transport from NY to CA. I was able to deal with some of the cosmetic issues because I hid them within the cabinets. On the dishwasher, I attempted to get a replacement and they refused. The dents that are clearly visible, I was so desperate to have my kitchen together that Ive just learned to learn to live with them.

Then In December I finally received the wall oven that I’d been very anxiously waiting for. Because of my past experiences I immediately opened the box and saw that it looked like it had been compressed and damaged. The delivery company said to send pictures to Appliances Connection for resolution because they didn’t deal with returns. I immediately contacted Appliances Connections and the delivery head quarters. They gave me a number to call so a repair representative could come look at it. I called and made the appointment. The rep came and said it was so damaged that it wasn’t repairable and looked like it had been dropped from at least 5 feet. I sent over the report to let Appliances connection know. At this point because everything coming from New York was damaged in some form, and I had waited 5 months for the oven, I just wanted it returned and refunded. I didn’t want to wait for another damaged product. I prefer to look for an oven locally. Fast forward 2 months of my continuing to call and email, they are refusing to refund me. They have no replacement in stock and forcing me to wait until they do, so they can send another oven from New York to CA. Nothing I have received from Appliances Connection has come free of damage. Sadly had I done my research I would have seen that the items are being shipped from New York. I give a strong warning to anyone purchasing from out of New York to find a local company and to not use Appliances Connection. I’m now 6 months without a complete kitchen and no end in sight.

I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM APPLIANCES CONNECTION AGAIN!!! Originally I called the AC, spoke to a salesperson Ralph, placed an order for a Dacor refrigerator and Bosch dishwasher. Ralph told me that they have everything in stock and will be delivered in 2 weeks. They gave me a discount on each item, it was nice. A week later I called back and found out that my dishwasher in NOT in stock and will not be available for delivery for at least another 2 month. It was not going to work for me, so I canceled the dishwasher, and purchased it at Abt. But instead of getting full refund for the dishwasher, I was refunded about $250 less, on item that retails at $1,200. When I called back to find to about my refund, my call was always forwarded to a scumbag manager Victor Levy, most obnoxious and rude person. Levy told me that that he make a small profit on large items and he's not going to refund me the full amount, I did not get that logic.

At the end of the day they stole a little over $250 from me, delivered my refrigerator weeks later using 3rd party for delivery, who wanted reticulated amount of money to bring it up to my kitchen. I had to find local people to finish the delivery for the 1/3 of the price.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THAT COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH.

Check out Abt, I had a good experience with them.
