Oh yes, I was planning on doing all the wood floors the same. This is a new home construction, very open floor plan. Just about the entire downstairs minus the baths, master suite, laundry room and office will have the same wood floor. I am most likey going to use a "50 Shades of Grey" :) base color throughout the house and mix with other neutral colors to give back some warmth. Thanks for your reply!

I think you need to consider a floor that reflects French style and brings in a lot of your other neutrals. Love this herringbone pattern.

Herringbone patterned floors are found in very formal French settings.

Medium tone Cherry Stain - I think you'll be very happy with it. Goes with everything. Not too light or too dark, too formal or too casual - classic and goes with everything.
