My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
-What experiences have people had with the F.O. ranges?
-Online links to seeing lots of them? I keep googling and getting their Italian site, so can't understand information. AJ Madison just shows one model.
-Where can I find pictures showing the colors - especially Antique White. I know the computer screen colors won't be accurate, but they can give an idea.
FWIW I called the southern California distributor (R&B) today who import both Fratelli Onofri and Verona. They told me that a dealer in Studio City, CA had both these brands. I called the dealer and they had Verona, but told me that FO was being discontinued.
Then I called the distributor back and they (a higher-up at R&B) confirmed that FO is indeed being discontinued.
FWIW the dealer said the Verona was especially a good deal if you want a dual-fuel 36 inch range (about $2500 vs $5K for Bertazzoni Pro) but about a wash price-wise in all-gas (about $2800 vs $3K for Bertazzoni Master). He thought fit and finish was a bit better on the Berts. The base model Verona has a storage drawer that the Bertazzoni Master (base model) lacks.
Maybe the FO might will picked up by another importer--who knows...
If FO are being discontinued u might pick up a bargain!! I live in ireland and Ive seen lots of the FOs in my local kitchen showroom. They are very nice. What struck me about them is their dimensions. They have all the gizmos usually on a range but somehow everything is just a little bit smaller. If you were looking at one in a picture you wouldnt notice cos the proportions are lovely. But they seem small. Made for the apartments that surround rome i think as opposed to a grand villa.
Having said that i did consider buying one because the interior is nice and they seem very well finished. I dont know anyone who has one because they ate just branching into ireland at the mo.
Royal Chiantishire FRRYC905S-SS $2,600.00 BU/BR (burgundy/Brass) $2,930.00 CR/BR (cream/Brass) $2,930.00
All Gas Royal Chiantishire FRGL 365-SS $2,840.00 CR/BR (cream/brass) $2,840.00
There will be another line that looks like the Bertazzoni Heritage. You can see it on the Italian site.
Verona is a great line. It just has a different look to it. Bertazzoni and Verona compete more on looks than Fratelli Onofri (Royal C) and Verona. The real battle is on the Evolution (df 36" $2,349), Verona(df 36" $2,499) and Bertazzoni Master Series(ag 36" 5b $2,999)
They all have great customer support to back them up.
Anyone have luck with parts? I inherited one in a house I bought. We’ve determined the lower heating element isn’t working. The kitchen appears to have been built for this range, so to replace it, I’ll have to do a kitchen remodel or put a 30” freestanding in a 35” hole.
