No one has any experiences with Rebath?

I used ReBath for my son's bathroom remodel a little over 2 years ago. We were very pleased. The surface seems to be bullet proof and extremely low maintenance. The crew that installed it was top notch, very professional, and left the area spotless when they were done. The only down side was the sales person did not have all the same color and tile pattern options available to us that they show on their website. Here is a picture.

I've been hoping to use Rebath or Bathfitters for the tub/shower of a rental we have. The tub is in terrible shape and it's not at all practical to remove it. Does anyone else have any experience with either of these companies?

kitty, your son's bath looks great. Can you tell me about how much it cost to have it done by Rebath? Even tho I'm not the OP, thanks for posting the picture!

Thanks Jessie21. The total cost was $4900.00. That included removal and disposal of my original fiberglass tub and surround, new greenboard, new copper pipes, new faucet, new showerhead, new curved shower bar, bathtub, full shower surround, and complete installation. The surround also covers the full shower walls and ceiling. I think Rebath is more expensive than Bath Fitters. They do claim their product is far superior to Bath Fitters...of course, that is probably what Bath Fitters says about Rebath!

We used Rebath out of Manchester New Hampshire a few years ago to remodel our small main bath. It was my first time remodeling any room so I really didn't know what to expect and I didn't shop around because my husband just wanted it done. They quoted us about $10,000 for the entire job.

When they were finished I think that I was so happy to have the blue tub, toilet, and ugly linoleum out of that bathroom that I don't think I paid enough attention to the details. Now I notice a lot of things that weren't done right, the floor tile and countertop in particular. This past summer we had our kitchen remodeled and I could see that we really didn't get a quality job out of Rebath. I think we would have spent about the same money if we had gone through the same, very professional, kitchen company, and I think we would have had an even more beautiful bathroom with better finishes.

However, if I was only doing a tub I would probably call them. The only thing is that they charged us a lot for the tub that they put in. We saw the same one at home depot for like $600 less.

I don't know if my comments help any. I can take some pictures and show you the things that we arent' happy with. One piece of advice I can give you is shop around.

pjegg, did they cover an old tub or install a new one?

It was a brand new tub. A very nice one, too. I have to admit they do use nice products for the most part. I think most of our problems were with the installation. I have no complaints at all about the actual tub or its installation. My husband doesn't like the fiberglass wall and the caulking hasn't held up at all. He would have preferred real tile because it looks a lot nicer, but since we've never had real tile in a shower I don't know that I would have liked the maintenance.

I think that each Rebath is probably owned and operated by different people so I'm not surprised to see a very different response from someone else. And kitty's tub does look very nice! I also noticed the other day that they have a huge advertisement at one of the local Home Depots.

I would not recommend you to use them. The floor is slippery and I fell and hit my head . I had to call 4 times to talk to someone and was told they could come out and remove the slippery floor and they would install a floor that would allow a mat to be used. DON'T use Re bath for anything. Price was also much to high for suçh a narrow shower. The shower head doesn't even touch the floor ànd there is no way to stop the water flow while showering except to turn the water completely off . They know that they install slippery floors so they can get you to spend more money by having to get it replaced. Very sneaky company.
