Although it does come in a 36" model, ours is only a 30" and we love our Electrolux Icon, EW30EC55GS. We've been using it for about 6 months, and the control of induction is the best way to cook. It's been updated now to remove the inside SS trim; I'm sure it's a little easier to clean without the bar. And my husband had slight trouble learning to turn it on and off; you have to slide you finger across the controls. Not a problem for me, though. When on, it makes a very slight sound, almost not noticeable. It looks great and cooks great; the price was $1845 from evvive.com in 2009. It's $500 less on amazon now because it last year's model. No regrets (except the price drop!), and we are very happy with our choice.

We have the same Icon unit, for about a year now, absolutely love it, and with our Emeril-ware (Cheaper All Clad) it is dead silent. Another advantage that is has oven some induction units is it is not "Fussy" about pan/pot sizes versus hub size. For example I put a 5" pan on its 11" burner and it worked just fine, boiled the water quickly with no errors. It makes no clicking sounds when turned to Ulta low (Some other manufacturers do) and if you remove the pan/pot from the hub, you have 3 minutes to put said pan/pot back and the cooktop goes on from where it left off (Maintains set temp etc). Some others you have to reset the controls if you lift the pot/pan.

I have the 36-inch Kenmore clone of the Electrolux Icon, purchased in late 2007. At the time, it had the advantage over the E'lux of not having the inside SS trim. It has been working great on a table in my family room since then while my kitchen reno has been ongoing.

Plan is to carry it to the kitchen today and install it because now that the floor is finished, the remaining reno tasks do not preclude using the kitchen.
