Any way to transfer email addresses?

I use yahoo mail on this iPad. They,'ve been trying to make me use their new app for many weeks now.....so I decided I better download the thing. I guess I thought it would automatically transfer my address book....well not yet.

Can anyone explain IF this can be done or am I stuck with re-inputting the information :(

    Sync supposedly handles this :

    Also for general Import :

You can also export from your regular Yahoo Mail contacts as .csv or .vcf , then import those into the app.

Very useful links from kbarb. Of note is that it says it's not a true sync but rather just a download from Yahoo to the device (nothing goes in the other direction). If it hasn't happened yet, give it some time, or try rebooting your ipad and starting up the app again.

I find that custom-built apps (like the one for Y Mail), whether in IOS or Android flavors, are easier and faster to use with web-based information than using browser access.

Thx for the suggestions. Couldn't figure out whether to try the cvs or the VCF.

Decided to reboot and see what happened...three days later, it worked!!! Now have my address book.
