smarts dutch oven

Hi I have a dutch oven it is about a 6 quart pot made of cast iron . It also has a bail and lid It is a wonderful pot had it for years .Can anyone tell me where and about when it was made . It says Smart,s #9 dutch oven on the lid but I cant find any info about the Smarts Co. on the web I live in Canada so it may have been made here. Can anybody help ? thanks. Tim
