Were they used or just on display/powered but for display only?

Just went through the same thing. Passed on a Miele Master Chef Speed Oven at a stupid low price because it had been used for staff and customer lunches for nearly a year and never cleaned - roof of oven was black-brown with junk. They offered to clean it, but no thank you.

Did, however, buy a Miele LaPerla dishwasher and warming drawer. Both had been used, but you could never tell by looking, and they both come with full warranty effective on installation (which I doubled by paying with my AMEX card, whining of the salesman notwithstanding).

Picked up a new (current year, not new) Master Chef Speed Oven that had never been used from another dealer for nearly $1000 off. Figured that was a better proposition than a brand new Chef series Speed Oven.

My fridge is a 36 inch Sub-Zero bottom freezer, also a floor model, but comes with full warranty from Sub-Zero effective on date of installation (which is a good thing, because I bought it ten months ago). Also paid AMEX, also doubled manufacturer's warranty that way.

Only things I bought brand new were my Capital Culinarian 36 inch six burner range and ModernAire PSL-040 range hood insert from Trevor, and all the Fantech fans (1266cfm remote for range, various singe and twin bath fans for the bathrooms and my workshop). Bought the Fantech products online, though, for significant savings.

I think you're in good shape, but would recommend asking the questions about prior usage.
