Now MY pan lid is stuck...

I took the metal lid off my pan and put it down on the glass cooktop for a moment. It adhered to the cooktop. It won't slide or budge in any way. It has cooled at least an hour now. If I pry it up, will I break the cooktop? How do I break the seal?

    This may be an old post, but my husband and i just had this problem and his solution worked like a charm. We let it cool naturally for an hour then filled a plastic bag with our hottest tap water. ( You must use a leakproof bag). Put the filled bag on top of the stuck lid and wait 3-4 minutes. The air inside the lid will expand and you can carefully free the lid.
