Lacanche style cabinet hardware

Hey everyone!

I recently installed a Cormatin and am interested in finding cabinet door handles that will go well with the range. So far, no luck. I talked to someone today who is willing to fabricate handles that are based on those found on Lacanche ranges (stainless rod with brass caps at either end), but it is going to be painfully expensive.

Has anyone ever gone this route? I know it sounds like a ridiculous concern, but this kitchen has been years in the planning and I did much of the work myself. Finishing touches count.

Being a "knob freak" myself, I don't think this is a rediculous question at all :) (I have 26 different knob styles planned for my Lacanche kitchen, all in pewter finishes).

So as I searched for my knobs I looked at many many different knobs. I'd be happy to give a few places a search for you...but I wanted to confirm what you're after. You want to try to match the long handle on the front, verses the control handles (the ones that kind of look like old fashioned faucets with a circle and four points on them?)

I've seen both....I just have to remember where :)

And are you looking to modern or a more old fashioned knob?

I understand the need to plan to the enth degree :) And frankly I don't think that jewelry (kitchen jewelry being knobs) is an area you skimp on planning! Getting it right is imperative :)

Sorry, I know this post is old but I would also love to have my appliance pulls match the Lacanche's stainless rod with brass caps. What did you end up doing lricard? Did you find a source or did you end up having the fabricator custom make them?

    Portarossa,

We have done this for 3 of our clients now (I wish I had some pictures for you). I believe you are in the US, so maybe try sending a quick email to Victoria or Elisa :) If you are in Canada, well, just let me know what you need!

I can't find these pulls anywhere! Is there a link online?

I ordered from Seattle as well. Super happy with how these look and the customer service is impeccable, just don't get me started on the fridge itself...It is likely going to be replaced but I will use the same pulls!!!!

@ Sommer Design, what knobs did you use to coordinate back to the pulls?

Since it sounds like these are pretty expensive .... anyone know of a more affordable option? Super cool look!

I also plan to order these to use on my refrigerator. Can you tell me the style and length of the ones on the refrigerator in your photo? I was advised by Seattle that I can purchase either the oven handle size, but the max length is 27 inches, or the “towel bar” size that runs across the full range. That bar is about one inch thick and you can purchase longer bars, but the brass cap is more curved and I’m worried it won’t look right. But I want the handles to be about 40 inches long. Please advise! Thank you in advance.

    @dezinertipe,

We just recently supplied a number of large handles (towel bar style) with Copper supports to one of our clients here in Canada for an entire run of cabinets on either side of their Lacanche range. The drawers are 36" wide, and for the same reason as Art Culinaire mentioned to you, we advised on the larger handles to ensure that they do not flex or create undue stress on the supports.

I don't think it would look "out of scale" on the refrigerator, as it's even larger, and most standard handles / supports are relatively large to handle the stress of opening the door.

I wish I had finished pictures for you, but the range is being delivered in a couple weeks so we'll have to wait a little more! Here is a sneak preview of this part of the kitchen:)

    All the best,

Are these pulls still available to purchase? Where can I order the hardware?

Mandy, I would call the technical service number. I believe that’s who I called. 4 years on—still very happy with my choice! https://www.frenchranges.com/technical-support/
