Christmas Candy Canes Make Great Valentines!

Don't throw those candy canes away! Put two together, melt slightly in oven...and...BAM..Valentines! Not my idea, but I had to make some for myself. I got the idea from Make And Takes(http://www.makeandtakes.com/candy-cane-hearts) and made some to hang on my Valentine tree.

Check the clearance sales for candy canes...wish I'd bought those bubble gum and cherry,etc, flavored ones. Nobody ever eats the candy canes!

These are really cute !! If you want an edible treat, after you melted them together to form the heart, I think it would be cute to fill the centers with melted white chocolate, (or the candy melts) with crushed peppermints added to the chocolate, or sprinkled on top - like the peppermint bark at Christmas.

I plan on making these for my kids!

Well kudzu how cute...Whoda thought...cindytx has some good ideals. I bet red clear candy glass would be pretty inside...
