Has anyone ever tackled a large project like this when working with glass etching?

If so, what works best-- the creme you would paint on or sandblasting? I've heard the creme might come out too light, but wondered if it was kept on longer if that would make it really opaque?

Everyone I talked to about this just worked on small projects like vases, lamps etc.

I would appreciate any suggestions.
