For an informal table large garden forks and rakes could be fashioned into creative hangers.

A bicycle wheel mounted on a pole or an old brass lamp from Good Will could be a creative hanger. The entire wheel and it's stand could be spray painted a cool color and would look very unexpected. A piece of lattice setting up horizontally could have hooks screwed into it.
