underfloor heat

Someone mentioned to me a while back about a newer way to heat tile flooring that was less expensive than the traditional radiant heat. They said it was a thin wire that was laid in the grout and kept the floor a constant 72 degrees. The temperature could not be controlled. I have been trying to find this, but have come up with nothing so far. Has anyone heard of it?
