I live very close to Sugar Loaf and often take out of town visitors there. It is mostly one long street (Kings Highway) with a few side streets of shops. I believe the pre-requisite to owning a shop is that the owner must also live there. There are shops with very unusual and handcrafted items. A lot of jewelry, soaps, artwork, sculpture, Christmas items, books, clothing. I buy a lot of my candles from the hand-dipped candle shop. It's good for a day of leisurely strolling and shopping and everyone is very friendly and helpful. In several shops you can see the artisan working on his/her crafts.
They have several places to stop to eat (the Barnsider is my favorite). At the end of the village is a large theater (Lyceum, I think) with ample parking. Most shops are small and tight, so small children really need to be well-behaved.

anyone know what the scent is that they use for these candles?

The hand-dipped candles are unscented. The candle shop is the blue and white one with the tiny front porch and rocking chair. You can't miss it.
You can purchase scented candles in the other shops.

They told me the sugar loaf candle is the ONLY scent they make - and yes that's the one - blue and white with the rocking chair.

I was curious of the scent because my boyfriend loves the candles and I thought I could find a perfume that was similar.
