My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
That Do-Re-Mi dance is not a flash mob. Those are dancers who were interviewed who had rehearsals. It was a publicity stunt organized by a television show just like the 'big dance' done for Oprah's birthday show in the streets of Chicago who so many mistakenly thought was "spontaneous".
Just a couple days ago it was yet again............. 'No Pants Day' where Facebook and Twitter users gather strangers together for flash mob hilarity.
Read about it here and Google for photos and stories all across the country.
Very cool! The one on Oprah's season-opener, with the Black-Eyed Peas, was the first I'd ever heard about these things.
Did you really take part in the Lollapalooza one? I wonder how these things actually get organized and how long it takes to teach and get the moves down.
Yes, Natal do tell........did you get to be one of the dancers?? It would be great to get the "inside scoop" from someone 'behind the scenes' when it was all organized. Grueling rehearsals? Catered buffet lunches? Free t-shirt? A budding romance between two dancers? Someone break a leg?
Most famous are the 'Pillow Fight' flash mobs organized using the internet. Strangers gather and at the strike of Noon the pillows come out from backpacks, grocery bags, under jackets and where every people have hidden them. Rules say you can only hit those with a pillow or a camera - not bystanders.
'No Pants' flash mob this year drew over 900. Flash mobs are not rehearsed events or sponsored by anyone.
Better yet are the Zombie Walks. Word goes out on the Internet to leave your house and walk like a Zombie to a meeting place (usually a cemetery) where you meet up with hundreds of others who have left their home at the same time and walked there like a Zombie. Rules say "No talking to anyone" until you get to the destination point and if you see another Zombie to walk together. Small Zombie groups begin to get larger and larger the nearer to the destination point where they all converge.
If I lived in a college town I could pull this one off but my neighbors would think I was strange if I just started walking down the sidewalk groaning and grunting and limping while wearing old gardening clothes.
