Oddie, I am sorry you are having problems. I have never heard of liquid laminating finish. Usually just use a spray sealer or waterbase varnish on most projects. I've never tried bottlecaps either--sure hope someone on here has an answer for you. By the way, I usually like a crackle finish on things--hope that makes you feel a little better. ;o( Luvs

Thanks luvsto craft for posting, I think I know what happened, I had put tiny glitter stars in some and tried to make them look 3D by adding more coats of the finish, dont think its made to us heavy coats, should have used the two part resin I have, will try agine havent given up yet!

Maybe too many coats was a bad thing. usually only one good thick coat is more than enough.
I use it all the time and have never had it crack. Sorry it ruined your project!!
