So what do you DO with your crafts?

Hi all,

Haven't posted in a lo-o-ong time. Glad to see this place hopping again.

So I have a question. For those of you who don't sell your crafted items, what do you do with them all? I mean, there are only so many people to give them to...

I was thinking today of starting on a project, just because I thought it was adorable. This project is really designed to make more than one at a time due to the small amount of material that's used.

So I was just wondering what to do with all the rest of them. I have gifts all sewn up already for Christmas and the next few months of birthdays.

So - what do you do with your "extras"? I could use some ideas that don't include selling.

Nice to meet you Allison ! I'm fairly new. I know what you mean about having excess crafts. Anything that I make I have to have a source to get rid of them - I don't have many people to give gifts to. I end up doing craft fairs .... at least if I make alittle money at it - I don't feel as guilty for buying the tons of supplies ! LOL

Hostess gifts for when you're invited to dinner at friends'? That's what I do when I make a bunch of "bag bags" or fabric bookcovers for paperbacks.

I used to craft all the time and am used to making a dozen or so items at a time, it's so much more time efficient than making one or two. I also have a friend who has a car wash/lube place and she puts some of my things on the counter and sells them for me. She also sells scrubbies that my mother makes.

A lot of my craft things I store in my basement cause I hate to part with them. When I truly get tired of seeing them or having to put them out, after years and years of having them, I give them to my friends or my sisters to enjoy. Mostly cause I made or got new stuff.
