We have an L shaped hallway in our lower level with 10ft ceilings. I used four of these, 2 in each hallway:

They have several finishes and other glass options. I ordered numerous Hubbardton Forge fixtures online when we built.

If I use a mini chandelier with 3 40 watt bulbs would that illuminate the hallway enough?

What about those new style track lights that are flexible and fashionable. They are great for a hallway because they can be positioned to illuminate artwork, etc. I plan to put that in the hall of my current house before I sell it because I know it will add instant value to my dim hallway that now only has one ceiling fixture. I hate it!!

Candice Olsen from Devine Design always uses these lights in her designs.
