I have seen a formula for x amt of stitches per yard but I don't know where it is. One thing I've heard is .50 -$1.00 per 1000 stitches plus a set up fee for your hooping, stabilizers, thread & etc..$3.00 & up range. I consider thread changes too.

I do logo's on uniforms from where my niece works & in one color & I get the repeat business. I charge a flat $5 for each one. Each job is about $150 for one set for everyone. Sometimes they replace 2 or get a new lab coat. They bring them to me & I usually return them as I run other errands & don't charge a delivery fee. Doing the same thing over & over goes faster than changing about a lot & I consider that when I price a job too. I do 2 lines for them. I have a friend who has her's done in Birmingham, AL, a higher priced place than our area. They charge $7 for one line & $5 for each additional line in one hooping. $12 for what I charge $5 for.

I start with the per 1000 stitches & vary from the .50-$1.
It works out ok for me.
