Is this a surface mount device?

If not, replace it with any equivalent value resistor with an equal or higher power rating.

Pardon my ignorance but is there a guide to evaluating resistor's that I can study?

Also, I see a R3362 sticking up, I wonder if that is
the replacement for the R3340???
