Rust on carpet

This spring I steam cleaned the carpets just before turning the heat off for the last time. Moved all the furniture back when it felt dry. Moving the furniture around now and guess what. The steel frame of the sectional has rusted onto my turqouise carpet. Any recommendations for removing rust?

Get " whink rust stain remover", works on clothes or any other colorfast fabrics. I would probably try it on a spot not easily seen first. Works great, the rust just disappears! I buy it at the grocery store, for me thats Publix. Good luck!
