Does anyone dry brush??

Your body, that is. I have been a sporadic dry brusher in the past, but am trying to get "bikini ready" for a trip to Hawaii next month, so I've stepped up to daily dry brushing before my shower. I'm also using Nivea's Skin Firming Moisturizer. I don't know yet if either is helping, but I figure it can't hurt, right?

Does anyone else include dry brushing in their daily regimen? And if so, what results have you had?

No, but once a few winters back I noticed my arms seemed drier than usual, so I got my loofa thingy out of the shower and scrubbed really hard under the kitchen sink in hot water and soap, both arms.

My arms were beet red all day, but the next day they were as silk and smooth as a baby's behind! So now I get in the shower just to do that. Real HARD, and I make sure I don't have to go anywhere.

I don't know about dry brushing, I'd probably scar myself up! lol

No, but I use a clarisonic brush in the shower. I have 2 attachments, one for the face and one for the body. Helps so much with KP (chicken skin-lol) and dry flaky skin. I also use Dove body oil.

No amount of brushing will ever make my body see a bikini again though. It's just not gonna happen.

Never even knew dry brushing was a "thing." Oh, the things I learn here! I thought this was going to be about a painting technique.

dry brushing , what is it ? exfoliating with a dry loofah on dry skin ?
do you moisturize afterwards, or shower then moisturize ?

I am so itchy recently, I think I need this. Calgary is very dry and I'm starting
to feel it.

i thought it would be about painting too!

i've never been big into a skin care routine, but as i'm getting older, i do think i should start paying more attention! i'll check back to see what dry brushing's all about!

I recently saw something about this on TV. Looks interesting, and perhaps exactly what my old lady skin needs prior to summer time with all the exposed legs and arms..............

OMG, one article says that the body can shed ONE POUND of dry skin per day.....! Dry brushing is also supposed to help get rid of cellulite and helps deter aging skin. I think IÃ¯Â¿Â½m off to the store to find myself a nice handled brush and give this routine a try!

Wow, you would need a lot of thick crusty skin to shed a pound a day!

If you do try this, make sure that your brush has natural bristles, and they should be pretty stiff, it will feel scratchy at first, but I like that. This brush on Amazon has a lot of good reviews.
