First thing I thought of was Oingo Boingo song "Dead Man's Party" and I came across a listing of music for the occasion ... http://www.scaryguys.com/sound.htm . "Bella Lugosis Dead" by Bauhaus might be another good one. None of these are too dark and Gothic really.
