We are currently doing a kitchen remodel of a 20yr old home but are staying pretty much in the current footprint. In 2 areas around the island and desk we will be moving things several inches so the floor will have to be leveled there.

My question is, should we have the floors sanded after the original cabinets are removed before we install the new? Then have them come back to refinish, or do it all at once.
